A strange place to feel safe is where others feel the most unsafe. Perhaps Rogue is a bit of a paradox herself, not conforming to the normal thoughts and idea of those around her.

It isn't that she wants to be different, but rather that is how she grew up. Perhaps it was her affinity to being alone that made Rogue realize that she could be alone in places that made others feel unsafe, or perhaps she had always felt at ease in strange places. She didn't really care about the answer either way, for she knew where she felt the most at ease.

There was a fast flowing stream in the Renegades territory, one that Nox's would usually stay away from, afraid to be swept away by its fast current. There was a much better freshwater source only a short distance away, and it was the preferred place to swim or cool off, or to drink from. Rogue, however, enjoyed the fast moving stream. She often stuck her feet in and closed her eyes, feeling the water swirl around her, threatening to take her off her feet and bring her down. Still, she was not bothered, choosing to respect the nature she found herself around, to realize that it was only as scary as she allowed it to be.

Rogue was in control. Rogue was at peace. The stream made her feel safe, especially since no other Nox's came by this stream. It was her and the gentle sound of the water. It would protect her, she knew it would.

or a illness will come. so they feel safe at home. they grew
up by the ocean of course so they always stay close to water,
even if their forced to travel. they like to stay close to people
too. so if they are forced to travel they must have someone
close with them at the least.
