What do they do to prepare for halloween?: After the usual planning of the costumes, decorations, and treats Leaf enjoys watching horror movies for every day of October. This usually entails a marathon of the kalon classics with a finale of "Lights on Lights Off," one of the most renowned horror movies in Leaf's world. After all that movie watching Leaf is usually a bit skeptical of opening the door at night for the little trick or treaters, but he'll always manage to muster up his courage and make it the best holiday for the children coming to enjoy his frightening home filled with sugary delights.

*please note that horror movies mentioned in my post are fictional for this adopt, and if they do exist it wasn't intentional.

What do they do to prepare for halloween?: Spooks always holds a giant Halloween party when the season comes. He stocks up on some of the most delicious candies from all over town and his area. His invitations are always decorated with cute werewolves, bats, and ghosts stuck to the sides of the paper. Spooks is very serious about making his party the spookiest they can be as this year he got some custom fruit punch that looks like blood with candy eyes inside it! And also I heard there is a haunted maze you must go through to enter...

What do they do to prepare for halloween?:
Fergie goes all out on decorating for Halloween. he loves making his own decorations and turns his whole house into one huge haunted light show. often times its simply cut black paper and some colored light bulbs or whatever he can pick up at the local thrift store. his favorite find is pumpkins and he tends to collect a huge amount of them across his fireplace mantle all year round. for the inside of the house, all the lights are replaced with red or black bulbs and everything is goated in fuzzy festive confetti streamers. outside his yard is a graveyard of foam headstones, pillow ghosts and hand made jack-o-lanterns with the windows showing different spooky scenes.

His lead-up to Halloween has been the same for many years now. It involves a lot of ingredient lists, a lot of baking, bat-shaped cookie cutters, and black stained fingertips. Working with food color was never going to go cleanly.

Each year he takes it upon himself to make pumpkin spice cookies, fit for the season, decorated to look like bats. A lot of people assume it's to celebrate Halloween, when really he uses the season to his advantage to make more sales. Every ounce of his earnings goes not to his wallet, but to the local bat sanctuary. He's always had a soft spot for the flying critters, and he's always eager to share information about them and gain donations. Too much bad publicity, he says; bats need a voice to show off their soft, unique side. They're wonderful creatures who deserve just as wonderful care. If he can find a way to raise money for their benefit, then that's exactly what he'll do.

Plus he got to keep a few cookie samples for himself, and a tasty seasonal treat was always welcome during the fall season.
