kalon name: Harper
personality:
If words were pins and needles, then Harper’s would be daggers. A non-confrontational but rather bitter kalon, while quiet, the few words he does say are rather scathing. With an attitude like his own, it would would expected for him to get into trouble, but he never does. Despite seeming unfriendly, he does genuinely want to be surrounded by others, it’s just an unfortunate fact that he is trapped in the past, unable to look forward to future. If others would be willing to give him a chance, perhaps Harper would be a lifelong companion...
fall palette:
xhow do they feel about fall?:
Fall was a time of festivals and celebrations for many kalons, signifying the change of the seasons that came and went. The colors of the leaves and the brisk autumn air was quite a sight to behold. Harper, like many, liked the reds and golds of the maple trees, but unlike most he had a lot on his mind. Autumn was a confusing time for Harper, on one hand he actually liked the colder mornings and the sound of the leaves, but it was also a time where bad memories resurfaced once again. As much as he’d like to enjoy it, there were quite a lot of things he found unwelcoming.
Despite everything, Harper decided that he should let himself enjoy the season for once, to join in with the rest in the festivities with the other kalons in town. It had been quite a while since he went out and just chatted with anyone, plus he needed to take a walk to clear his mind anyway. Conversations rarely ever went well for him, but yet he felt the need to socialize anyway.
It was night when he finally made the decision to go, and he was met with mainly confused and irritated faces, something he was used to. Normally, he wouldn’t have went at all considering the amount of kalons gathered during the festivities and the tension creeping up on his neck. He was supposed to enjoy this, wasn’t he? Wasn’t he supposed to have a good time? Yet here he was, just standing there, ignoring the world surrounding him. Eventually, he made it out of the festivities and into the woods, breaking into the night, too stressed to continue being there.
Eventually, he decided to stop and relax for a moment in the woods. Surprisingly for Harper, the woods were empty asides from the hoots of the owls in the dead of the night. Taking some time to recollect himself, what would be considered eerie for most was calming to the distraught kalon. He stared into the woods, taking in the sights of the woods and the starry night sky. Even under the guise of darkness, the reds and golds of the leaves still glimmered in the moonlight, a spectacular sight for his eyes. The leaves that had already fallen lined the path to a place for the anxious Harper. Without noticing, the calmness of the rustling trees soothed the kalon to a much needed rest, drifting away into dreams. For many, it was slightly too cold to rest in the forest, but to Harper it was what he needed. For once, he didn’t have those bad nightmares that plagued his mind.
Unaware he had fallen asleep the previous day in the woods, he found himself covered head to toe in leaves. Harper, surprisingly felt calm for once and took in a look at his surroundings in admiration. With a clear mind, he realized that perhaps fall wasn’t as bad he thought, with good memories finally coming back...
