Supposedly so; it’s not an entirely wrong assumption, to be honest. It fits him well - tabby markings, like conders dragged through his fur.
Yet; that is not the whole story.
The whispers grew as he, too, grew older, first a murmur, then the words came to him coherently.
"What did your mother die by?"
The cinders, they’d chide, the fire, the smoke - but most importantly, the cinders.
Indeed, she died a cruel death; suffocation by the ashes.
In her paws was a kit; she, savior.

personality wrote: His personality could be described in stages; far too complex for few words.
Stage one.
There was the normal innocence of youth. A more peaceful time; one where he could run free within the camp, bubbly and excited as any other kit. He complained like any other; he roughhoused like any other; and oh, how cocky and over-the-top he could be! One could describe him as a little fire; a kitten that could talk back like nothing, and fought authority.
He was quite the pawful, everyone else would describe and laugh - oh, how they laughed! They assumed he would grow out of it, of course. He had to; he was just a kitten, ever so young.
The cloak of innocence had not yet been lifted from his soul.
The whispers turned into mutters.
Stage two.
As an initiate, he retained his fiery disposition; he would become a reckless initiate, his lack of respect for authority channeling itself in his cocky personality.
When Juniperpaw became an initiate as well, she held a sense of awe in him. Oh, how he acted out against the pesky adults— and got away with it! He always could get away with mischief, it seemed; and with his signature cocky grin.
She wanted to be like him.
"If we band together, we’ll prove 'em all wrong!"
The murmurs turned into words.
Stage three.
He became an older apprentice.
He slowly grew somewhat paranoid. What were these whispers - tch, he shouldn’t listen! His fiery nature outmatched any anxieties and worries he had, pushing them away, locking them without a key.
Juniperpaw and Cinderpaw were the best of friends, pulling whatever chaos they could. Cinderpaw held no remorse for his various actions; he didn’t discriminate by cat, hah! Anyone could fall victim.
He relished in his chaos.
The words grew louder.
Stage four.
Now he was on top of the world. He was to be a Sun Wielder eventually; he knew this, and started devising what he’d want his full name to be. Cinderfire? Cinderspark? Something to match his personality— something bold!
There did come a time where he disrespected the wrong cat; he spoke cruel words, he went too far—
"Shut up, Cinderpaw!" the cream lynx point cried, the son of Minkstar— "At least I didn’t kill my own mom!"
"What?"
He’d already left the scene.
The words grew into shouts— the shouts grew into yells—
Stage five.
Cinderpaw became the shell of who he was; cinders of the flame, reserved and defeated. He couldn’t deal with the knowledge. All the anxieties overwhelmed, what he had locked away sprung from its mental chest.
His full name was Cinderwhisper.
The shouts died into muffled whispers.
Aspen - Just like the tree her fur is light colored. Also she has got some tabby stripes and (with a bit fantasy) you could say that the dark stripes on an aspen tree look somehow similar to tabby markings.
Sea - The first, most obvious reason, for that are her beautiful blue eyes in which you can easily get lost in. Just like in the beautiful blue sea. The second reason is that the suffix sea means calm and she is a sweet and also calm cat.
Aspensea in general is a very calm cat. She always was one of the cats that didn’t say much when a lot of others were around, but in here group of friends she always was the sweet, kind and a little bit embarrassing cat. But she never cared about being embarrassing because she trusted her friends and her friends always loved her for that. She also isn’t always as calm as she seems, especially when she’s with her friends, she can be kind of wild.
Aspensea has very straight priorities. At first comes her family and her friends, even before orders of a high rank. That’s because she values live and friendship the most in her life and does everything to make others happy.
Aspensea is also a very strong and independent cat. She always was one of the best hunters but never brags about that, which is also one of her major traits that show her kindness and sweet personality. Because she didn’t want to upset anyone with her skills because they weren’t as good as she was, when she trained with others as apprentices she often failed on purpose to make others feel better.
"silent words fall upon deaf ears"
