What are they looking for and how did they get to the valley?: having been hurt by the humans who cleared her homeland of its plant growth, Ironheart, pain heavy in her chest, she looked for a home. Her determination had her swim for 4 days without rest before she found a place to call home once more.

What are they looking for and how did they get to the valley?: Tiber was running from his dark past. He lost his mother, and his father to a territory battle. He was scarred from that night on. When he was old enough he vanished, trying to forget that night. When he got to the Valley he was getting a drink when he looked at himself in the water. He froze, He hadn't realized what he was really running from, he just assumed it was his past. It was himself, his mind. He wasn't sure why he would get that now but he felt as though he was finally home. He purred as he fell back in the tall grass watching the clouds.

What are they looking for and how did they get to the valley?:
Angosin is looking for his life's purpose. As a cub he heard a remark from a passing stranger that his pelt was so odd, looking like the sun itself signed it's name on him. That young cub took that one sentence and ran with it, basing his entire life around it. "I have to be special! I'm the chosen one for something, the sun has chosen me!"

"Since I was but a cub, I was revered and worshiped by humans that called themselves the Kotatsu. Their leader adorned me with strange yet pleasing gifts, such as soft fabrics as big as my den and shiny trinkets that adorned my neck, paws, and even my ears and face. I had humans to tend to my every whim. They would feed me when I was hungry and bring me water when I was parched."

"You see, I was chosen among these people as special. My master, their leader, had spoken that, long ago, one human had a vision of a tiger that was loved by the sun. The sun loved this cub so much that she came down to earth and kissed the cub. It caused the cub's pelt to turn from orange to gold, it's stripes black to a burnt orange, and a signature of the sun impressed right on it's back. Well... that cub was me. Legend speaks of the cub bringing great wealth and prosperity upon the Kotatsu people, for it was blessed by the sun herself."

"So, you see, I lived the life. I didn't need to lift a paw to get things done, and all I had to do was settle down and relax, watch the people offer me gifts and bathe in the glory that was their praise. Unfortunately, that sort of life wasn't meant to last."

"The people often held what they referred to as 'festivities' during the day of my birth, and this happened to be the day. The people dressed in beautiful, vibrant colors and danced with each other, calling to one another in happiness and joy. There was food and music and happiness in the air... But that was when someone burst into the palace, that was their form of a den, just much bigger. He shouted something. He sounded distraught as he kept pointing toward the door. Then the music stopped and the people started to grow uneasy. They all began to leave when I felt the ground shake under my paws. I had never felt anything like that before. The palace began to shake, too, and the sound of thunder could be heard outside... only it didn't stop. It kept on and on, as the earth shook and quaked. Then the source of such insurmountable commotion came into view... It came crashing into the palace with such force that walls crumbled and collapsed, and the sounds of screaming humans filled my ears before the water rushed in after. And water continued to fill the room and ultimately engulf the palace. I was swept deep into the waves and carried out to wherever it was going."

"I tried to breach the surface and intake as much air as I could before the waves dragged me back under again. The waves kept wanting me, taking me under and trying to drown me but something kept dragging me back up to the surface, just for a little while. It continued like this for days, until the rains and winds finally calmed and the waves settled down to gently carry me along. By the time I could see where I was, I noticed I was in the middle of the ocean. All I could smell was saltwater and I could not see any sign of the Kotatsu people for as far as I could see. I was lost... set adrift along the sea, at it's mercy wherever it wished to take me. I drifted along the waves for... A long while."

"I was weak and tired, and my stomach felt so empty, that when I was washed ashore, I hadn't noticed. Even if I wanted to, I could not move. I closed my eyes, wondering what would become of me... I must have fallen asleep, for the moment I wake up, I'm no longer on the beach. I'm in... some sort of den, amongst lions of some sort. They told me not to worry and gave me food and water and shelter. They were so kind, a kindness I had seldom felt when with the Kotatsu people."

"I still am with them, these strange forest lions, and I will stay with them until I decide whether to go back to my life of luxury or stay with creatures that see something other than an idol." (724 wc)
