Intake Report: Scarring on Muzzle, Neck, Arms,Back Legs & Tail
"Out of all of the Skepluvias found at the scene, the retired racers were some of the easiest to handle, they tended to be quite used to handling, though not as gently as the rescuers were managing to lead them along. This Queen seemed to be one of those. She had the typical scarring of a racer, but the scars were older and quite well healed. They followed the rescuer without much fuss, directed along to the trailers by a handful of sugar cubes. The animal seemed happy to just see food, thankfully, as the weakness in her hind legs was very noticeable. The Skepluvi stumbled here and there, a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of a crowd that had formed to take care of all of the discarded creatures. Someone dropped something in the barn, causing a huge banging sound that spooked the poor Queen so badly they pulled against the lead hard, snapping it and attempting to make a grand escape away from the sound and the crowd. Thanks to the quick reaction of another rescuer, the Skepluvi was able to be sedated and brought maneuvered back towards and into a trailer, on their way to their new forever home. They will need some desensitivity training to get them used to the loud sounds of a farm, and lots of food and exercise to get their body back to tip top shape. "

Taming Prompt: "Oh, poor thing!" was the first thing I said when I saw the Skepluvi. I saw that she was covered in scratches and deep wounds of a Skepluvi that races. I looked into her green eyes and saw fear in them. I felt bad for the Skepluvi. No one or thing deserves to go through that pain. I stroked her head.
I had come to get a Skepluvi from this rescue team, knowing the one I got would probably be hurt. Even knowing that, seeing any Skepluvi hurt brought pain to my heart, and this was no exception.
A worker walked up to me and told me that this Skepluvi was indeed a retired racer. They also told me that she was scared of loud noises and would need a lot of food & exercise to be put back in shape. I was determined though. "I promise I will take care of you," I told Iritine, which is the name I picked out for her. Iritine was put in my trailer, and I was taking her to her new home.
