"So tell me, sis, what is it you really want?"
Dahlia could feel the radiance of her sister shine down on her as the Kalon waited for an answer. The confidence flowed in her sister's veins. Her eyes glowed with triumph.
Azalea has grown to be so strong...
Proudly, Azalea answered her sister, "You of all people should know what I want, Dahlia."
Dahlia did know what her sister wanted. She always knew.
She wanted freedom
Dahlia herself once wanted freedom, but she stayed, for the sake of her family. Now was her sister's chance to leave the nest. To start a new life. To be happy without the strain of her families' wishes hanging over her shoulder.
Dahlia and Azalea sat in silence. Azalea's eyes remained locked onto her sister as if they themselves were begging for an answer. Azalea heard her sister let out a long sigh.
Dahlia decided to finally break the silence. She knew what she needed to tell her sister. Dahlia spoke, "You are free to leave. You always have been, sis. Go. Take flight. You of all Kalons should know that I want you to spread your wings."
On that note, the minty Kalon watched her sister head to the entrance of the cave. She made eye contact with her sister, nodding and smiling at her sibling's choice to leave. As the mouth of the cave swallowed her sister, she decided to scream out the last "I love you" she would ever be able to tell her sister. Dahlia's pure white fangs bore a saddened smirk. Water began to pour down from the Kalon's eyes.

Dahlia's parents pounded her with answers as to why her sister left. All she could let out were little sobs, for the pain of her now estranged sister grabbed onto her heart and squeezed tight.
Lonelyness.
All Dahlia could feel was the evergrowing hole in her heart. It had always been there, but Azalea's presence would ever so gently sitch it up. This time, there was no one to help stop the gaping hole from spreading. The only thought Dahlia could think was on how much of a fool she was for letting her sister leave. Deep down, she longed to be free like her sister. Dahlia's grief soon nursed her into a deep, dark sleep.

Dahlia knew what she needed to do. After spending two days bawling her eyes out, she had a plan.
I'll be free, just like my sister Dahlia thought.
On that note, she sprinted towards to mouth of the cave. Freedom was in her sight.
"I'll find my sister..." were the last few words she said before jumping out of the cave.
She knew she must go to the plains her sister always talked about. Azalea must be there.

Dahlia was so close to the plains. Had she not taken such a long nap, she most likely would have found her sister by now. Although, she needed her rest. After leaving so late and not getting any sleep, she had deserved to put her mind to rest.
A scent had been picked up in the wind and carried to Dahlia's nose. While the scent was faded, what Dahlia smelled was clearly the citrus smell that always lingered from her sister's coat.
Dahlia sighed, so close, yet so far... I'll be with you, soon, sis.

*skuffle skuffle*
Dahlia's sister was right there, in the flesh, in front of her. But, before Dahlia could even say a word to her sister, she needed to wake her up first. The very moment Dahlia kept trying to wake her sister is when she noticed Azalea had been crying. Then, Azalea tried swatting Dahlia away.
"Hey sis, it's me" spoke Dahlia.
Then Azalea stared Dahlia in the eyes and jumped up to hug her. Dahlia was hugged so tight she thought she might pop!
"Wh-What are you doing here?!" Azalea stammered out.
Dahlia replied with a huge smile, "I'm here to be free, with my sister."
At that moment, the hole in Dahlia's heart had been mended.
