Gale flicked his ears back, backing away from the office door in his home. He had heard shouting and loud noises, anger and frustration radiated from the room. He felt a tear trickle down his cheek fur, dropping onto his paw and splashing onto the dark oak wood floors. "Oh so you THINK it's okay-" He heard a snarl, but couldn't determine whether or not it was his mother or father. His mind was jumbled up, his chest was tight and he couldn't breathe. The tears were uncontrollable..
He knew they were overwhelmed about the war, they had been ordered to evacuate their home yesterday, bringing a huge shock into his family. He lived with his parents and one other brother, Ferris, but he'd gone into the army and was now fighting. Now, Gale was alone in a home of shouting and anger, not towards him however. An air of misery now lingered over Gale's thoughts, haunting him every pawstep. He was worried too of course, about where they'd go, about leaving their home, for goodness sakes. Gale was a young pup with alot on his mind. Who knew what the future held for them? For his family? Would they fall apart? He was more worried honestly, about his parents and his brother than he was about himself. He was living in a chaotic world.
His mother let out one last stinging retort, grabbing the doorknob and slamming it shut behind her. She slumped to her knees, covering her face with her dappled wings. "Mother?" Gale whispered, trotting over to her with his head held low. "It's going to be okay Gale." She murmured, her voice cracking as she wiped away her tears and reached for his paw. "We will always be a family."
But it wasn't alright, sadly. Gale and his parents were separated during evacuation. He was sent to the refugee camp in hopes of finding his family.. Until now. Little did he know though, his brother is in the same batallion as he was taken to. Aviiara knew this, yet they didn't!
