Detroit sighed. She had a life to get back to, and as much as she would love to stay on this tropical paradise she couldn't just leave her friend, and her Boyfriend behind.
She smiled, it was a bit bittersweet. As much as she wanted to go home she wanted to stay here and stay in the sun for just a little bit longer. The sounds of the birds and all the commotion from other kalons exploring was so comforting oddly enough. And as much as she hated doing little errands for Shark, no matter how important it may be to fix the ship, she would miss it. But she would miss home even more where she is surrounded by friends and family and where she has felt safer then ever before.
It was a bit cheesy but she would trade nothing for her home. She went around the island, saying last goodbyes to everyone and checking in with Oliver and his niece Allison before heading over to Michi.
She was grateful for the entire experience, she got to meet new friends and find her own little slice of love and happiness. Even the panic when the ship broke down she wouldn't change anything about this cruise for the world.

How does your kalon feel about going home.[/center]
Nero didn't feel any which way about going home, weirdly. She'd miss the island which also surprised herself but really, it was still like being at home already. Apart from the complete bossyness of it's inhabitants, of course, always making her do fetch quests and talk to people- that she wouldn't miss at all. But it had been, for lack of a better word, fun! It was like seeing her home world in another way, from someone else's eyes what with the little kit who liked the tide pools to that odd Kalon who wanted shiny things for some crab deity. Even Nero had to admit something like that didn't happen at home at all!
As she boarded the ship, the normally stoic Kalon found herself sighing at the fact she was leaving. Going home and looking forward to going home was one thing but actually going seemed like sort of a sad occasion now. Though, in her mind Nero knew she could come back. The sea was her home and it could guide her here if she so wished. So, it was a comforted Nero who boarded the ship and made her way home, knowing that the island was never that far away in the end.

Change is often and change is difficult, but it's time to head home and face what's next.

How do they feel about going home? Will they ever come back?
Do they head home, or maybe decide to stay?
Sign-up.
Cody was, quite frankly, surprised at himself.
For all his fears, his anxieties, his uncertainties in taking the plunge and going on this cruise (and then subsequently getting stranded on an island), he had actually.... had fun. The island life could not have been any more different than his own back at home; where the forests of his hometown were cold and dark and silent, the jungles of Kalokairi were warm and welcoming and teeming with life. Here, the sun was always shining brightly and even the nights (something that caused Cody great distress, especially when he had to work late shifts) were warm and filled with gentle breezes. All the stress that he had brought with him since he first set foot on the cruise ship had somehow disappeared as he spent the month on the island, magically melting away bit by bit as he cleaned beaches, watched whales, and cooked questionable concoctions.
He had truly come to grow fond of this little island.
But, as much as he would miss this place, Cody knew that he had to return home.
His job at the forest was waiting, looming over him like a dark cloud. He shivered as he thought of what he had left behind, expression turning grim as his mind wandered to thoughts of shadows and humanoid beings hidden in the woods. He had to do go back. If he left, there would be one less person to watch over the forest and to keep its visitors out of harm's way. Cody gave himself a little shake, banishing the creeping darkness.
I've had a great time on Kalokairi, but now it's time to go back, he thought, shuffling along with the rest of the group boarding the ship. As he peered over the railing along the edge of the main deck, face sullen, he had a thought.
It's not like I can't come back.
Face breaking into a grin, Cody nodded to himself, reaffirming the thought.
Yeah, I can come back. And, next time, he thought as he waved goodbye to the islanders on the dock, I can bring Mikhail along too.

Prompt
featured or mentioned: Anthony, Tori, various others ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────The sun was setting on a another day on the island, except for much of the people there, it would be the their last sunset there, the sun it seemed, was setting for good. The ship loomed ahead of them, brand new thanks to the handy work of Shark. It was hard to believe that it was the same which nearly turned an innocent summer vacation into a sequel to the titanic. The curly haired californian spent the last hour gathering his friends across the island, with half of that being spent trying to rouse Abel from sleeping. The other half spent trying to convince his friends that they shouldn't forget their lives back at home to stay on the island for women they'd barely known a month. It was time to leave the island, a place where they made quite a few memories that were sure to last. But more than that, the island experience did exactly what he'd originally intended for it to do; help the group get to know his mysterious new friend Musashi better. Anthony's handsome features smiled when he saw them in the distance together laughing.
Anthony himself felt somewhat empty at the prospect of leaving. Of course, he was never supposed to come here in the first place, but he made some new friends and enjoyed being away from the city. He had especially grown fond of the kid he taught surfing to. His girlfriend had asked him if he wanted to stay for a bit more, but with the ship leaving with or without them there'd be no telling how long it would take before they could leave when they actually wanted to. But later, they would return, perhaps just the two of them
until then. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
