big big wip. original notes:

-they're subterranean.
-they fight a lot, but their skin is very thick so it doesn't hurt!
-they nest in mainly stone burrows, but they'll take any other type of solid rock too.
-they're about the size of a cat.

changes:

-the size of cat was never specified, i assume housecat however! these guys can range in size from the pygmies (house cat sized) to the giants (liger sized).
-they have long fangs hidden by their lips. they are mildly venomous to humans, but incredibly dangerous to any herbivorous species.
-meat eaters.

founders are the first pair of jackhunds you adopt to get your kennel started. to adopt them, you must have a kennel thread ready for posting in! it can be very simple or complex, anything is fine. founders are closed currently while everything gets set up!

genetics are a mix of simple and complex. each jackhund has a genotype, and that genotype determines its phenotype, carried traits, and shown traits. the genotype includes base coat, markings, skin color, eye color, and litter size. genetics are still being worked on, but jackhunds, thanks to essentially being a mix of cats, dogs, and reptiles, can show many different base coat colors and patterns.
