The pair walked through the meadow. Occasional droplets hit their soft furs, a forecast of slowly coming rain. "So, why'd you pick this place as your territory anyway?" asked Ravenash looking around at the fields of grass stretching in every direction and ending with either water or thick forest. It didn't look like a premium district. Trees were rare, giving little safety from flying predators and little space to hide from pray. Thick forest shrubbery made it hard to move. The cliff side and sharp rocks weren't inviting or useful at all. The only good thing so far were large rocks scattered around the area, giving great space for napping and height advantage when hunting. Bluecloud raised his eyes to the sky. They heard a distant thunder. "You can see the sky easily" he said simply. Ravenash observed him for a moment, considering whether he's being completely honest. He seemed to be. "Only the forest blocks the view, but I don't go there often. Also", continued Bluecloud. "I never really thought of it as mine. I just live here".
They reached a large stone formation and Raven jumped on top of it, followed by the white cat. They both looked around in silence for a couple of minutes. "If you want to keep living here and let other cats join you, you'll have to start thinking of it as your land. You'll have to protect it and expand it. Chase out the predators. Figure out who your neighbours are and make sure they pose no danger." The grey feline looked at Blue. He seemed so soft and pure. Will he be able to create a clan? Cloud stayed silent for a long while. "I don't want to leave this place. I want to feel the wind and watch the sky and the ocean every day." He looked a bit gloomy. "Do you think... do you think I can keep this area safe?" Ravenash considered it and smiled. "Yes. Yes, I do".

Shadowpelt got her wish this time. The two she-cats went out on a night adventure, and the black cat could not be any happier. She’d gotten to rest earlier today, so her energy was up for this trip. The clan had obtained a branch and a stock; Woodfur and Bluefeather took a good portion of the workload off of the two she-cats, there was finally time to rest, and Shadowpelt was taking full advantage of it between adventures.

Dusk wasn’t particularly thrilled about exploring at night, but she knew that it was what it would take to keep the forager from whining. Shadowpelt’s disgruntled behavior had definitely hurt their last hunt, so the leader decided that she’d sacrifice prime hunting time to get her best, er, only forager to perform as needed. The time of day wasn’t a big deal to Dusk, she just knew that prey was more bountiful at, well, dusk. Both had acute vision, even in the darkest nights, so the darkness wasn’t a limiting factor. She knew it made her partner almost invisible to any predator or prey, therefore she couldn’t complain.

Featherstar walked through the forest on her own as she searched for prey. At the start of the day she had woken up with endless excitement. After having rested for the last couple of days, she was now able to go back out on her own and patrol for what had felt like moons to her. She was originally planning on going on a patrol with her new clanmate Larchgaze, however he had already headed out before she had woken up. That didn't matter too awful much to her though, she was just glad to finally be able to do something besides laying around bored all day. Featherstar mostly kept her focus close as she continued on with searching for prey.

Unlike his leader, Larchgaze wasn't particularly having a good day today. He had woken up earlier then usual to head out on his own before his clanmate just to have some peace to himself. Usually he'd be fine with occasionally patrolling with other cats in the past, however this one was way too talkative for his personal taste. Especially since she seemed way more hyper then usual since she had healed from her injuries. Larchgaze casually walked through the territory as he listened to the sounds of the forest as he enjoyed time to himself for a bit.

"Thank you" Blue returned the smile. "Better get used to saying it" Raven smirked and jumped to the very top of the rock, inviting Blue to follow him. "I'll teach you everything you need to know about running a gang... i mean a clan." Both of the cats sat down, the meadow and faraway forest stretching before them. "And then everything the light touches will become your kingdom." "But what about that shadowy place? The sun isn't out, everything is dark." Ash looked at the white cat disapprovingly for ruining his metaphor. "The shadowy places too." Blue cheered up. He stood up, his fluffy tail swooshed from side to side. "I just can't wait to be king!"

We can discuss the details under a roof" Both cats went back on their way to the cliff, running part of the course. Sounds of thunder were more common now and the first lighting pierced the grey clouds. "This way" said Blue and led them down the cliff, over a rocky path and to a little bay. Raindrops were disrupting the usually still water. They watched it protected from the rainfall by a cliffside. They ate and talked, listening to the sounds of the storm.
