mouse carefully stored the herbs she had just gathered in one of the three wooden structures, tucking them against the wall in their respective piles. she took a moment to look over them, but was distracted by her rumbling stomach. it had been awhile since she had last eaten, so she decided to snack on some scraps (two). content and now full, the she-cat looked around for toad. finding her missing, she headed off to again patrol the boarders. toad had also made a meal out of scraps (two), and had taken it upon herself to recheck the location she had last run into the rogues, looking for anything useful along the way.

He would have stayed in the area longer, but with the scent of a fox around he had decided to try searching somewhere else for the time being. After storing away his prizes and eating some scraps with Featherstar to fill his belly, he then decided to head off in another direction in search of what else he may be able to find.

After managing to catch themselves a rabbit, the trio was in high spirits. It was hard to be unhappy when they knew they would have dinner that night. The three young cats turned around, the rabbit and a few herbs in their jaws, mumbling jokes through their full mouths, occasionally dropping them to laugh out loud. On the way back to their camp, Smokefeather suddenly went quiet.
"Guys, hush. Do you smell that?"
Tigerwhisker and Starwalker went silent, scenting the air.
"Oh my Starclan, that's a fox!" Tigerwhisker whispered, beginning to puff up in fear.
"We'll be fine, let's stay here until it passes. We're downwind so it shouldn't notice us if we're quiet enough," murmered Starwalker, determined to protect her clanmates, knowing the best option would be to try to avoid the fox.

As they backed up to get away from the fox, they bumped into a squirrel. It was quickly caught so it couldn't give away their position. +1 Squirrel (3FP), +3 exp

With the fox chased away, Smokefeather breathed out a sigh of relief. He had gotten scratched across his pelt but it didn't hurt too bad. He turned back to his clanmates and let out a gasp when he saw Tigerwhisker. The ginger cat was lying on the ground motionless, his breathing shallow.
"Tigerwhisker! Oh Starclan! You're going to be okay,"
Starwalker and Smokefeather helped him get back to camp, setting up a comfortable nest of moss for him. Starwalker did her best to treat his wounds with the herbs they had brought back (Lavender, Rush, and Chickweed). She tried to remember what Starclan had told her the last time they visited her dreams. She was surprised that she had managed to escape without any injuries, but was incredibly grateful. If she had been the one injured, there would be no one to help heal her.
The next morning, she checked on Tigerwhisker and his wounds.
"Smokefeather and I are going to go out in search of some more food. Are you sure you'll be fine here on your own?" Starwalker asked him, anxious to leave him. Tigerwhisker reassured her that he would be fine.
As Smokefeather and Starwalker stepped out of the camp, she looked over at his shoulder. His scratch from the battle looked worse than yesterday. It looked like it was getting infected. A pang of anxiety shot through her.
"We need to keep an eye on that scratch. I don't want it getting any worse," she said, trying to keep the anxiety out of her voice. Smokefeather laughed, unconcerned, and reassured her that he'd keep an eye on it.
The two walked in comfortable silence, pelts nearly touching. They didn't acknowledge it, but were both on high alert for any predators, as well as prey or herbs.

back at camp, the two she-cats decided to change it up and patrol as a unit. they headed out together, mouse's tail twitching anxiously. her gaze shifted over to her leader, then quickly back to the path in front of them. toad had always been far more silent, despite her role, and mouse wasn't sure whether or nor she should try to start a conversation. deciding against it, she focused on her surroundings, eyes glancing around to the various plants. after awhile, she grew more comfortable with the silence, and was glad that she wasn't alone for once, even if her company hadn't spoken a single word.

Rain was coming close. Bluecloud looked around for his companion and noticed him sitting on the edge of the cliff and overlooking the sea, the tip of his tail moving swiftly from side to side. "Morning, sleeping beauty" said the gray cat, turning his head around and looking at Blue. "Mornin'" Blue replied, stifling a yawn. He walked over to Ravenash and stood beside him, enjoying the view. The sky was now clouded grey, contrasting with the blue of the sea. Waves kept crushing onto the rocks, producing white foam and mist. "Should we still go exploring or change the plan and hide from the rain?" Ravenash sighed theatrically. "As leader you should be the one making decisions" Blue crooked his head slightly to the side. "As leader I should get advice from my right hand man" Raven smirked. "Very well. Lets go".
