Cloverstar sat down and gazed at her catch, surprisingly very happy. Although it wasn't much, it was good progress speaking starting a new clan could take a lot of work and this will hopefully stock up the clan when new warriors arrive.
Cloverstar decided to take a quick break once more, she kept taking breaks everytime she had caught or foraged things but that didn't matter, nobody would know and it wasn't lazy if you're only looking after yourself.
A few more minutes had passed and she forced her to get up, she decided to try once more as a chance to explore the new territory and snag some more items before officially heading back to camp.
Instead of padding further, she padded left, where there were more places for prey to hide in.

[Streak]

Dusk emerged from the large beech tree. She flicked shadowpelt with her tail, alerting the other she-cat that is was time to go explore. This was an unspoken ritual that the warrior was familiar with.

The two treaded softly through the forest, thankful for the patches of shade provided by their beloved beech trees. Aside from the occasional snapping of a stick under shadowpelt’s paw, they were silent, taking in the various sounds of the forest. Some struck pleasure, but most sounds were those of survival. Soft footsteps often meant prey. Heavy feet sounded the alarm of a large predator. Muffled roaring and clumsy steps meant twolegs, which could bring good or bad events, though more often than not they meant harm either to the clan or their habitat.

The small, two she-cat clan had become familiar with these sounds. They knew that they had an advantage over the solo leaders, for shadowpelt would often pick up sounds that dusk couldn’t catch, despite dusk being the more nimble one of the pair. They complimented each other well in exploring, and it kept them alive.

Bluecloud stretched, yawned, revealing white, sharp teeth and stood up. He had a pleasant nap and now, satiated and all warmed up by the sun, he was ready to continue exploring his territory. He decided to go down to the beach at the bay. He jumped off the rock and followed through the grass. He soon reached a narrow dirt path leading down from the fields. It wound, twisted and turned. Sometimes it completely stopped and he had to jump down onto lower levels and followed it on. It wasn't the most comfortable way, but it was quick and safe enough. At least, during sunny days like this. When it rained and all the rocks became slippery, it turned into a death trap.

Frogstar really wasn't sure why he was holding on to all this stuff. Especially the dragonfly.. Was that even edible? What did dragonflies taste like anyway? Did they have a taste? His stomach growled softly, as if to say, "Does it matter? Feed me!" Frogstar's tail twitched in annoyance. He was almost there; he could feel it. There was no time to stop for a meal now. The tom increased his pace from a walk to a trot..

.. and fell.

As the tom tumbled down the slope, struggling to regain his footing and constantly being smacked in the head by the pieces of prey and leaves he had been carrying, he began to rethink his life choices. What was he doing here, following some weird dream? Did he seriously believe he was going to find a new, better territory, by following some--

Frogstar rolled to a stop, unharmed aside from his dignity and a few scratches and bruises, and stared around himself in shock. It was perfect! The semi-open clearing was surrounded by tiny hills -- including the one he had just rolled down -- and rimmed with trees and dense clumps of bushes and ferns, making it almost invisible from the outside. Within the clearing, there were some more bushes and ferns around the edges, as well as a fallen log and a stump. It would make the perfect camp for.. whatever he was going to name his Clan. He'd need to work on that.

Frogstar set his prey down beside the tree stump, then began searching through the various bushes and ferns within the camp. He'd need to determine which would make the most secure dens, which would need improvements, and search for any sign that another cat, fox, badger, or dog already lived here. Maybe he'd even find more prey, or useful herbs.

Lightclan

Bright dawn sunlight filtered through the roof of Lightclan's den. Starwalker was still asleep, legs twitching in a dream. She was chasing a mouse, running through the trees. She finally got close enough and pounced! She was so hungry and sat down with her catch to eat it. Just as she took the first bite, she woke up. Blinking the sleep from her brilliant blue eyes, her stomach gave a huge growl. She jumped to her feet and stretched.

"Ugh guys I'm so hungry. Let's go explore!" She looked to her clanmates, excited to greet the new day.

Smokefeather and Tigerwhisker were sitting together a few tail-lengths away, whispering. They looked up at her, surprised to see her awake, before nodding. They had been discussing going out without her, as she tended to sleep in far past daybreak.

The three cats stepped out of the safety of the den into the sunlight. The goal was, of course, to find something to eat. They weren't the most experienced hunters, being all previous housecats, but they made up for it with teamwork and creativity. The three made their way into the forest near the camp, a lightly wooded area with plush green grass and sunlight dappling through the trees. It was a gorgeous area and Starwalker was grateful they had set up camp so close to it. She hoped there would be some prey nearby, or perhaps some herbs. She had been taught a few basic healing techniques from Starclan while she searched for a cat suitable to be Lightclan's healer. It made her nervous to have other cats counting on her and not really know how to heal them. What if something happened to them...

Snapping out of her thoughts, she realized that Tigerwhisker and Smokefeather had been getting further ahead and she ran to catch up to them. She squeezed herself between them and the three walked quietly through the trees, trying to catch the scent of something worth going after.

After all of the mishaps that happened the day before, the very last thing Featherstar would have expected was running into another rogue. Let alone one snooping around her makeshift camp. Her remaining strength was barely there at all, but thankfully the cat who she would learn to know as Larchgaze felt pity for her. After calming down after the encounter, Larchgaze used his bare knowledge of herbs to try to patch her wounds. He didn't have much to work with, but it was better then nothing for them. After talking for a short while, Larchgaze then decided to set off in search of more supplies for the both of them while Featherstar rested at the camp.

Larchgaze casually padded through the forest as he listened to all the different sounds. Unlike the cat he just met, he had grew up in this forest. With all the trees and foliage around it was a bit tricky to learn where everything was at first, but you learn your way around after a while. His ears pricked forward as he listened to the familiar sound of a stream up ahead. Hopefully there he would be able to find some prey to satisfy both him and his new companion.

Shadowpelt padded softly through the underbrush, hunting for her next kill for the clan. She sighed heavily when she missed a mouse, and it darted away, sneering over its shoulder. She was exhausted. In a two man, er, she-cat clan, there was no such thing as a full night’s rest. She and Dusk took turns sitting watch throughout the night. It wasn’t exactly relaxing, and it certainly wasn’t ideal, but it was the life they had to live, the warrior decided. With that, she got back up again, brushed off the shame of the missed prey, and continued the search for her next meal.

toad was in awe at the pearly looking stone, scooping it up carefully in her mouth and taking it back to camp with her. she slept with it curled in her embrace that night, her thoughts cluttered with its possibilities. should she keep it for herself? save it for one she loved? she couldn't decide, and still hadn't reached a decision when the early morning sun woke her. she tucked it in a safe crevice, covered it with some moss, and stepped out of her den. after taking a half hour to fully wake up, she finally set out towards the river.

mouse was awake long before the other she-cat left, patrolling the boarders for the rogues toad had run into earlier. they seemed to have left, but she knew that didn't guarantee their safety. luckily, toad's last run-in with the trio hadn't ended too badly. she swiftly maneuvered around the various debris, keeping her head slightly down to take in the scents.
