Willow sucked a physical activity, although she thoroughly enjoyed the nature thought hikes, she hated the sensation of her leg fat burning. Although, she desperately wanted to go to mermaid cove, despite sharks warnings, and all kalokairi’s wildlife is quite a spectacular view, and that was enough to get Willow trodding on her was towards Mermaid Cove, keeping a keen eye out for any flora or fauna.

As she breeds down through the trees her ears prick up. Slowly squatting down and grabbing her binoculars from the side of her bag. She takes a few steps back. Ahead, she here’s crunching leaves and the rustling of the bushes quite vividly. Maybe this is to big a creature to stand and watch. As Willow takes another few steps backward so that now she was leaning against a tree trunk. Holding her breath, the noise came so close any second now it would burst out from the darkness. 3… 2… “AHHHHHHHH” Willow squeals.
“AHHHHHHHH” Shark replies.
“What are you doing Shark?” Willow squeaks, her heart pounding.
“I- wanted to uh… make sure everyone was alright at mermaid cove.. obviously.” He gathers his composure. Willow rolls her eyes
“Sure” She teases
“Wh- no!- Er- I uh- ju- well-“ He stuttered. “Alright, you got me, now is it true they have a spa in the main cabin over there?”

Detroit - prompt #7 - other kals- oliver & Allison owned by fuiuki
Detroit sighed. She didn’t plan on going on a hike but Oliver and his cousins basically begged her to go along. Something about her being able to help make it fun? She wiped the sweat off her forehead and groaned as she climbed up the side of a rock, watching oliver as he turned around and stuck his thumbs up before turning back to tend to the littles.
She took another look at the map and breathed a sigh of relief, they were reaching the halfway point finally and then gasped at the sight before her, a small ravine, with nothing but vines hanging across. She looked at Allison, Oliver’s niece, who was testing her weight on a vine, before pulling herself onto the vine completely. And then she watched with horror as she sent herself over the ravine. “Oh,,,, i,, okay” she said sitting down and then watched as her brother swung over as well. Detroit had done a lot pf crazy things before, but not ones that could kill her because she trusted a vine hardly the width of her finger. She sighed, picked herself up and dusted her legs off before finding a proper vine, although it was more of like a branch to be honest, and swung over, letting go right over the center point of the ravine and rolled onto the ledge with a huff.
Yeah, it wasn’t great but hey, they could have died so a win in her books. And they ended up where they needed to be.

prompt seven

Caleb deftly ducked underneath a vine that was hanging slightly too low, keeping his tail close as he studied the fragment of the map. A whole section dedicated to merkals! Maybe there’d be more exotic creatures living there too. A flower caught the kalon’s eye, and he hurried over to snap a picture. It was a delicate bloom- thin, almost translucent white petals that shimmered gently in the soft green light that filtered in through the tree tops. Caleb crouched uncomfortably to get a good angle for the photo, nearly pressed into the soft earth. He tried not to think about ants crawling into his fur and waiting until the right moment to bite him. Nope, he was perfectly fine.
This continued on. Caleb would meander along the path, taking in the scenery, find some pretty thing or another, and get distracted while taking photos (his favorite was one he managed to snap of a brightly colored bird taking flight). He’d take some of the flora back if he could to show Klarissa, but he feared it wouldn’t turn out so well for the plants.
Finally, finally, Caleb made his way out to the cove as the sun was getting low in the sky, snapping a few last pictures. That’s when he heard a splash in the waters, and he finally took notice of the sparkling scales littering the shore.
It seemed almost as if they were expecting him. [239]
