How do they find it, and what's the experience like?

Antheia stared at the water like it was going to chew her up and spit her out, her dripping diving mask still clutched in her hand, the found tool in her other. Aukai had seemed more than happy to help her search when she'd gone to him bawling her eyes out and petrified. Someone had taken them out on a boat to the supposed spot and then all she'd had to do was dive in, but instead, she'd spent the moments standing there petrified.
Antheia hated diving. She hated the darkness, the cold, the creepy sea creatures that'd dash out in front of her and scare her silly or brush against her and sent her flailing for dry land because something was going to eat her.
Shark owed her big time for this one, she thought, closing her eyes and letting out a shaking breath.
She'd gone down eventually, of course, when she'd begun shaking her head and tried to protest she couldn't do it and then had slipped on her tail and fallen in. Some panicked flailing, forgetting how to swim, quite frankly, with the fright of it. She'd hit the very shallow bottom before Aukai had scrambled in after to save her, and in her mad scrambling at the sand in her deluded state, she'd hit something hard and metal and just latched on.
When Aukai managed to drag her back up to the boat, she was clutching the took as though it'd been what saved her, not the other dripping wet Kal who looked alarmed at her state.
He'd helped her to warm up and recover from the shock, draped a blanket around her, but she'd refused to let go of either object. It just made her feel better to hold onto something and either way she was terrified that if she let go of the tool for even a second it'd vanish again.
They docked. She dropped the mask and scrambled from the boat, vaulting herself over the edge and onto the pier, and then continued to run until she hit sand and collapsed to the dry sand shaking with relief.
She wasn't sure how she was going to get back into that cruise ship after this incident, but she had the took now - that was all that mattered.

      Prompt Six
Katniss suited up once on the boat, taking a seat and letting Aukai go over how to operate all the gear he'd be providing her with on her journey. She listened intently until the captain announced they were at the spot Shark had described as being where he lost this much-needed tool. Into the water, she went, after bidding the pair farewell. Sea creatures of all kind surrounded her, swimming above, below, and even beside her. It was gorgeous, really. Soon thereafter though she reminded herself what the task at hand was. Searching the seabed, she scanned over the varieties of coral and flora. She knew it was going to require a good chunk of time. After all, the likelihood she would even find it was relatively low. Her heart hurt far more though for the potentially dead animal that accidentally ingested it. Dragging her covered paws about the sand, she shot back when something squirmed from underneath her paw. Out popped a small octopus, who didn't look very happy to have been disturbed. She gave a small wave and continued on her way.
Hours had passed, and there was still no sign of the missing object. She had nearly given up all hope when she saw something shiny poking out from the sand. Could it be? She maneuvered closer for a better look, and sure enough, it was the missing screwdriver. Triumphantly she grabbed it and held it up in the air. Up she swam, tugging on the rope they'd attached to her to prevent her from getting lost and letting herself be reeled in like a fish.

Your kalon has to go diving for Shark's missing tool.
How do they find it, and what's the experience like?
(214/200)
The water had never been Cherry Blossom’s cup of tea. Sure, he loved the rain and beach, but deep water? Water where he could not touch the bottom? That was entirely too much for him. But, he could put that aside if it meant helping Shark fix the ship. Kalokairi was a wonderful place, and he was truly enjoying his time there. But he also wanted to know that, when the time came to go home, he would actually be able to go. And so, as he stood in the dive gear at the edge of the dock, he steeled his nerves and dove. It was cold. It was dark. It was... It was nice, actually. Peaceful. Deeper than he would have liked, yes, but overall not as bad as he had expected.
He continued out into the depths, swimming aimlessly in hopes he would come across this tool that Shark needed. After what seemed like an eternity spent trolling through the dirt and pushing through clumps of seaweed, he found it. It honestly looked like an ordinary screw driver to Cherry, but perhaps not. Perhaps, at the very least, it had some sentimental value. Whatever the case, it was in his hands now, and he could start his journey back onto the shore.

Prompt Six:How do they find it, and what's the experience like?

Taking a deep breath, Allison dove in.

Although music was her forte, Allison did have a talent for diving without equipment. She had a wicked set of lungs, and she was fairly resilient to the heavy pressure of water the deeper she went, for some reason. A quick scouting without equipment wouldn't take long, and she'd have a way easier time getting the tool back once she knew where it was. Diving equipment is heavy stuff, and she'd rather not have to lug it all around unless she had to.

Although it took a few tries to find the tool, Allison didn't mind the diving attempts. It was honestly quite relaxing, watching the exotic fish swim about without a care in the world, and finding little shells and pretty sea plants. After a few dives though, she spotted something of interest at last.

A small congregation of fish seemed to be very interested in something glimmering at the bottom. Allison dove deeper and sure enough, there it was. She didn't get too close since she had to go back up for air soon, but she took note of where it was. Before she could start to head up however, she noticed an octopus quickly shuffling closer to the tool. To her bafflement, it picked up the tool and scuttled away! This wasn't good, if she lost track of that octopus then she wouldn't be getting the tool back. She quickly swam and caught up to the thieving critter, and a tug of war ensued. However, before she could get the tool back, she felt her vision start to fade. She'd been down for too long, and she HAD to get up, fast. Her strength left her however, keeping her from reaching the surface.

Before everything could reach black however, she felt a tug, bringing her up to the surface gently. Coughing and sputtering, she took several deep breaths of blessed air. She felt herself being hoisted back up on the boat she sailed out on, together with Aukai who was helping her look. Said kalon quickly grabbed her and shook her about, yelling at her about her stupidity for diving without gear for too long. After a few minutes of shaking and yelling, the situation calmed down, and Allison finally got a moment to thank Aukai for rescuing her.

"Oh it aint' me who saved ya', buddy. That there octopus tugged you up the last bit to the surface, wouldn't-a noticed you struggling if it wasn't for that" Aukai responded, pointing to the critter, sitting on the rim of the boat. It looked guilty, as much as an octopus can, and it was holding the tool they'd been looking for. After staring for a little while, Allison gently took the tool, and patted the octopus on the head.

"All is forgiven, you little scamp. Thanks for the help" she smiled. The octopus seemed happy with this, and slithered off the boat again, into the water.

Well, she had the tool now at last... though it sure was going to make for an interesting story how they got it back.

Six: How do they find it, and what's the experience like?

Aderyn took a deep breath before nodding- the signal for her to be lowered into the water.

She had known to expect the cold- but the water was absolutely frigid. Even her wetsuit couldn’t stop the cold from seeping in. Her wings were quickly soaked, making them deadweight on her back, and gravity seemed to pull her deeper
    and deeper
    and deeper.

The water had a strange calm to it- there were no fish, no reefs here- for now she was in open water. A wash of navy blue was all she could see, save for the shadow of the boat above. It was oddly serene- empty. Now, Aderyn understood why it was so often called the “deep blue.” Seeing a single fish swimming by in a hurry, Aderyn was snapped back to reality, and she began to push herself down towards the ocean floor, where there seemed to be more life, and where she would seek the tool.

Aderyn was astounded at what she saw- a beautiful kelp forest, swarming with many varieties of fish. Her eyes were ambushed by an array of stunning colors and patterns, hundreds of different fish milling about the sea’s forest. A stray sea turtle swam by, and Aderyn couldn’t help but stare in awe. She’d seen such animals in aquariums- and quite honestly contemplated freeing them. But here- it was so different, seeing them in their natural habitat. It was so utterly beautiful.

Shark had told her his tool would be around here somewhere- but the seemingly endless kelp certainly wouldn’t make it easy for her to find. She began to sift through the sand and make her way through the kelp, sending many of the fish scattering- until they seemed to realize she was harmless and flocked back.

All of a sudden, a blur of pink and blue flashed through Aderyn’s vision. Was that right- had she been seeing things? “H-hello? Is anyone there?” she called- but under the water it just turned into an odd gurgling sound of sorts. Glancing around warily, she continued on her search, keeping an eye out for whatever that had been.

Starting to get frustrated with her lack of success, Aderyn frowned, huffing a bit. When she looked up, a beautiful merkalon was in front of her, hiding behind some seaweed. She must’ve been the blur from earlier! She frowned slightly as the kalon came closer, handing her an odd necklace. She slipped it over her head, and could suddenly make out the merkalon speaking. “Hello- I’m Nayda. The necklace is enchanted, so we can converse under the water.”

Stunned, but not too surprised, given the technology magic had brought in her kingdom, Aderyn took a moment, before speaking. “Er- hello. My name is Aderyn. My friend up on the shore- he lost something. Do you think you could help me?” As soon as she mentioned the shore, she could see rage in the Nayda’s face, and soon the merkalon snapped, “The shore? You fools are throwing your trash all over the beach. Do you know how many fish have died? How many turtles I’ve saved from near death because they were choking on plastic? I’m not helping you with anything.” Watching desperately as the merkalon turned around, Aderyn blurted, “W-wait! If, if you help me, it’ll help you- he, he needs the tool to fix the ship so we can leave. I’m sorry- sorry about the sea life. I had no idea...”

Nayda glared at Aderyn for a moment, as if assessing whether she was telling the truth or not. Having decided she seemed honest enough, she stated flatly, “Fine. What’re you looking for?” Aderyn took a shaky, relieved breath, “Er- it’s a tool, for repairing things- like- a screwdriver or.. wrench? Uh.. he didn’t really specify..” she said, wincing. The merkalon nodded, contemplating for a moment. “I think I may have it- I’ve been saving some of the objects that come down here- just in case. I’ll be right back.”

After what felt like a lifetime, Nayda had returned, tool in hand. “Oh! Thank you so much!” Aderyn gasped, “How can I ever repay you?” Nayda simply looked at her solemnly, speaking softly, sadly even, “Just make sure you get out of here as quickly as possible. And while you have to stay.. just.. look out for trash. Please.” She then turned away, darting off before Aderyn had the chance to reply. It had certainly been an odd encounter- but Aderyn was glad to be able to return successful.

Prompt #6

Cesar didn’t like the idea of having to go scuba diving simply for a tool that would repair the ship. He was aware that a lot of equipment was involved with scuba diving- expensive equipment at that. He didn’t want to end up damaging any of it and he also knew that it could be life-threatening if he didn’t take lessons and had no clue what he was doing with the gear underwater. Cesar wanted to help Shark find the tool though for bragging rights so he did what he did best.

He paid someone to take him out while he snorkeled and watched them get the tool for him.

Cesar would tell people this but what actually happened was the Cesar explained to a local of the island about his concerns and how urgent it was to get the tool. He wanted to contribute somehow though and help out so he willingly offered to native to go snorkeling and see if he could spot the tool somehow from the surface of the ocean. At first he was intimidated by all of the creatures that swam around him in the vast sea, but after awhile he ended up actually enjoying it and got a good beach tan to show off. The native ended up finding it but it helped Cesar feel better about himself by trying to help anyway.
