"Ugh."

That's all the young woman says as she sits on the beach, a black umbrella draped over the back of her chair. The pale wooden seat she's found is uncomfortable, and the rays of the sun seep over the protective shield behind her, touching the tip of her toes. The warmth isn't entirely unpleasant, but she knows if she stays in the sun for too long, she'll burn, and she can't stand the idea of having to spend the rest of her vacation peeling off a nasty sunburn.

Children splash in the water and a few kalons dig through the sand for trash and shells. She watches on, slipping an earbud into one ear and then another. There's only a few places with good service on the island, and her data is still spotty at best, so she's thankful that she brought her ipod with her. Even if it's a few years old, it has some decent music on it. She sighs softly as she leans back, crosses her legs, and presses play.

Maybe this will keep me entertained.

I'm not bored. People keep asking if I am, or if I'm upset, or what's wrong. Nothing's wrong here, I just keep wondering if everything's fine there.

It's not easy working in the modelling world. To be an agent, you have to be tough. No nonsense. No being messed about it. I'm there to work, not to tolerate other people messing up. I work hard to keep everyone in check. Too hard, apparently.

I suppose I'm grateful that my coworkers saved up to send me on this cruise. Admittedly, I suppose I have been a little tired recently. Maybe a little more snappy than usual. Hmm. Maybe they just wanted a break from me. Fair enough.

I'm sure we were all hoping this cruise would do me good, but it's not exactly been smooth sailing. I'm not the only one annoyed that the ship broke down. Sure, the island isn't the worst place to be stuck, but this holiday isn't the one I'd envisioned. I suppose at least here I can find more places to avoid sunburn and people's loud, annoying children. If one more kid knocks into me with an ice cream, I'm swimming home.

I've found a nice little shady spot on a secluded part of the beach. I've even found a way to distract myself from work worries for a little while. Someone dropped their ancient little iPod, and I just so happened to find it. I'll give it to the lost and found, of course - after giving it a listen. There's literally a playlist called 'best good vibes!!1!'. Ha! I'll be the judge of that...
