What game does your kalon suggest, and how do they win?
As Caro informs Roe on the whereabouts of the key, and who possess it, he’s already formulating a game plan in his mind on how to obtain it himself. Casinos aren’t unfamiliar to him, given his city home life and deep inner workings with criminal forces, the scene of a casino is one he’s had to step into and interact with many times before. He waves Caro off, and then descends the stairs to the ship to start his master plan. Passing the bar he nods to Brandy, who acknowledges him with a similar nod. Roe sees Rook and Spider nearly immediately as he walks in, and Spider gives him a wink (or.. three) as he approaches.. Gross.
Roe asks (more like demands) for the engine room key, and the two employees inform him of their proposal: a game for the key. Roe blinks, unbelieving that their requirement is for him to play a game with them, out of all things. They work in a casino, surrounded by tons of colorful machines and the game of the odds, and yet they’re bored? Who knows what that logic is.
“How about hide and seek?” Roe suggests. An easy one, he can wiggle into almost any space.
“No, too boring.” Rook jabs at him, looking unamused.
“Okay… what about a game of monopoly? Something strategic.”
“Boring! We deal with real cash all the time!” Spider rolls his eyes.
Roe feels a headache throbbing at the back of his mind. Did this guy really complain about handling money? “Okay. How about this: give me that key or they’ll be calling you Corpse and Pieces?” He stares daggers straight at the both of them.

“Here’s your key, Caro.” Roe prompts, dropping the golden shiny thing into Caro’s hand. Caro looks surprised, he was maybe only gone for ten minutes. “That was… fast.” Caro offhandedly comments.
“They played my sort of game, and lost.” Roe returns, a hint of danger in his voice. It’s probably not wise to ask what else he said.
