Prompt;; "Stay away from the Running River." Kestrelpaw sneered with mockery as he padded along the tundra, the sun scorching above him. Around this time, the proclaimed Running River thawed, bringing place for all sorts of predators and pray to gather around it. West had given direct orders to everyone to not go alone, and that any of those who were younger than the warriors were not allowed there at all unless stated otherwise. Kestrelpaw believed in himself, it would only be a couple of other animals drinking water, what harm would it be? Plus, his impatience to become a warrior led him to be even more curious to what was around the waters, surely it had to be something of importance if only the strongest of the clan were allowed by it.

Upon reaching the river, Kestrelpaw was... greatly disappointed. As far as he could see, it was just a river. Must be something else further down. Curiosity seeped in his veins as he paced along the edge of the water, his paws occasionally splashing in the shallows of it. He wasn't concerned about being spotted, his pelt blended in rather well with the surroundings. As he was furthering his adventure, however, the young cat noticed movement in front of him, pausing directly in his tracks at a second glance. He couldn't make out what it was; it didn't smell like anyone from his clan.

Out of fear of being attacked, Kestrelpaw quickly went limp, his thick coat absorbing the water as he hit the ground, chanting in his head. Play dead and it'll go away. Just play dead.. His courage drained from him as he lay against the water bed, hoping for his life.
However.. nothing happened. He had no idea how long he had been lying there for, but as he stood up, everything around him remained the same, ignoring his now-soaked pelt. Shaking himself off, Kestrelpaw jumped away from the water and made it back to camp. He had learnt his lessons, whatever it was that taught him it, he wouldn't know.

It’s gone in an instant, but she without a doubt saw something.
“You saw that right,” she says to Heatherfinch.
“Saw what?”
“That!” she exclaims as she sees the flash of white again.
“I didn’t see anything. I think you’re seeing things.”
She isn’t, but she doesn’t learn this until another quarter-moon.

Heatherfinch is leading her to a new cave she found in the forest when she feels eyes on her.
“You feel that too, right?” she asks.
“Feel what?”
“You’re messing with me right? You can’t seriously not feel-“ she doesn’t get to finish her sentence.
“Surprise!” shouts Swanheart with a huge toothy grin. Shadestar stands beside her with a typical unamused expression. “You’ve been working so hard recently and I wanted to do something for you,” explains Swanheart.
“Do what exactly?”
“I dunno. Just give you some time to relax or hanging around for a bit. Destress.”
“Yeah- Wait! You’re what I saw in the woods.” She turns to Heatherfinch who doesn’t seem surprised in the slightest. “You were in on it! You said. I was seeing things!”
“I mean, you were seeing things. Your eyes were open.”
“Hush. You know what I mean.” Her eyes soften, though. “Thanks, you guys. This was really nice.”

It was a cold night, there was no denying that. Rabbit was a bit more accustomed to the cold than the other cats he knew, the biting chill not quite reaching down to his skin as it would on the others. They were all bundled up in their nests, curled up together like house cats. They all shook their heads when he told them where he was going. It didn't matter what they thought, however - he was on a mission.

He had only seen it once before, on the coldest night he could ever remember. He was barely old enough to be an apprentice then, eyes wide with excitement and breath fogging the night air. He had sneaked out, too filled with energy to sleep on his first day of being an apprentice. Rabbit knew the dark night would give him cover. It always had.

Rabbit made across the edge of the territory, ignoring the boundary marking the beginning of a Twolegplace he had been warned to stay away from, when he saw it. It was the strangest colored creature, bigger than a turkey that a team of cats had brought down once before. It's feathers were a strange mixture of the color of grass, the a color darker than the sky. It was bathed in the artificial light from a Twoleg house, bobbing it's head as it walked in it's pen that the Twolegs must have built for it.

The thing took Rabbit's breath away.

He stared at it for many long moments, ignoring the bite of cold that threatened at his feet, ignoring the wind as it started to pick up. He couldn't do anything else, so intrigued as he was by this... thing.

For many seasons after that, Rabbit could not keep the strange, bright bird out of his mind. He vowed to see it again one day, but despite trying to look for it he could never find it again. But he would. One day. He was sure of it.

Prompt;; Quincelight was walking through the forest along with SeaClan's healer, Meadowsky. They were out searching for herbs to restock the Healer's Den. The sky was bright and the cats were taking cover under the shade of the trees rather than taking the direct route and being scorched alive.
aaaaQuincelight frowned as they walked. Long fur was never a useful characteristic if in this type of weather. "Is it always this hot during the Sunscorch?" she asked, irritated.
aaaaMeadowsky smiled as they walked. "Yeah, it is," she responded brightly. She glanced back Quincelight. "Don't worry, you get used to it."
aaaaSuddenly, a red blur shot through the jaded's vision and she paused.
aaaa"Quincelight?" Meadowsky checked in confusion a few seconds later. "Did something happen?"
aaaaQuincelight slowly shook her head. "No, I just thought I saw-"
aaaa"Boo!"
aaaaBoth she-cats leapt high up, shocked out of their pelts. Quincelight whipped around, fangs bared. "Sorrelpaw!" she scolded as she caught a glance at the newest apprentice.
aaaaThe said Sorrelpaw was laughing on the floor. "Did you see your faces?" he asked guffawing. "It was hilarious!"
aaaaQuincelight scowled. "Sorrelpaw! You're not supposed to be out here. You know apprentices can't leave camp without permission."
aaaaSorrelpaw smirked, "Well technically, you never finished your apprentice training either."
aaaaMeadowsky laughed. "Well, he does have a point."
aaaaQuincelight growled. "Go. Back. Home. Now."

silvermoon was born as a kitty-pet with the same sylvia.
she had wondered what it looked like outside of her comfy warm house, so she had escaped the human home out and decided to explore. she went out hunting for prey near a lake. she was jumping from rock to rock when she slipped. she managed to grab onto a fish on her way up but she was still soaking wet. she was very annoyed by her fall so she picked up her fish and began to return home. after she found herself running in circles she realized she was lost. she sat down and began to eat her fish.

sylvia had been lost in the woods for 4 days, she began to wonder if her owners missed her at all. she had not heard them call her name or seen them come look for her. she sat on a rock to rest and soon she fell asleep. she awoke from her nap after hearing a twig snap in the woods. she turned around quickly thinking it was her owners looking for her. she saw a cat with bright blue eyes watching her from the shadows. sylvia was very spooked by this and ran off.

3 more days had passed and sylvia was losing hope. she decided she needed to teach herself how to swim and hunt better. she had just climbed out of the lake and was drying off, suddenly she saw something run by her. at first she thought it was the cat from before, but something told her this was different. could it be prey? she began to slowly crawl toward the creature. as she made it to the forest she ran into the cat from before running away.

the blue-eyed cat saw where sylvia was going and quickly pushed her back towards the lake. sylvia looked at the cat, she could see the cat much better in the daylight. the blue-eyed cat had orange and white fur. she did not seem like a enemy to sylvia.
sylvia asked the cat was she was doing. the orange cat sat down and began to speak "well may name is littlestar and uhh, you were heading towards the forest where i had just seen a..." suddenly the cat stopped talking and began to stand up, she looked scared.

sylvia turned to look behind her, when the turned around she saw a fox. she had seen foxes catch large rabbits easily, she was scared but instead of running away she stayed to help littlestar. together the cats took down the fox. littlestar thanked sylvia and asked her if she was ok. sylvia told her she was ready to take on anything after the 7 days she survived. she told littlestar about how she had gotten lost and survived the week. littlestar told her she could join the clan and her name became silvermoon.
