How does your kalon feel about their cruise breaking down?

It was the worst noise she had ever heard—an explosion coming from deep within the ship’s hull. Maní leapt to her feet in a panic, almost tumbling over.

“¡Ay!”

It sounded as if the whole ship was being rent apart. The ship seemed to jolt back and forth in the water several times beneath Maní’s paws, sending her stumbling several inches across the deck before regaining her footing. The ship slowed, and she regained her composure. She brushed a few strands of deep purplish hair out of her eyes with a forepaw. Looking around to assess her situation, she wondered how badly damaged the ship was, but she couldn’t see from where she stood.

Is it going to sink? thought Maní.

Maní determined that she would have to face that possibility with bravery. She hoped there would be enough lifeboats. If not, she decided she would have to sacrifice herself. It was the only noble thing to do.

An announcement came over the system, instantly grabbing her attention. A voice, possibly the captain’s, told everyone to remain calm, and explained how there was a nearby island, and how the ship would be able to reach it.

Good. No self-sacrifice would be needed. The other cruise-goers seemed relieved as well. She looked toward the other kalons who had gone with her. Flare stood behind her quaking ever so slightly, his fur still puffed up. Teagan seemed relieved and Mouse hardly seemed to have noticed at all. She couldn’t see any of the others.

Maní could only hope that nothing else would go wrong, that the ship would make it, and that the announcement hadn’t only been to give dying kalons false hope. The thought did cross her mind. But by the time Maní saw the island they were stopping at, any fear she had felt was forgotten. This was even better than she hoped. One of the first ones to scramble off the boat, she knew she was ready for this new but unexpected adventure.

How does your kalon feel about their cruise breaking down?

It was really sad for Eli to see a pretty ship have a big hole in it.
Eli wasn't even sure what happened. Could the captain not drive or something?
I mean Eli at least knew how to steer a house ship right. Honestly its a good thing nobody was hurt. The ship just laid on the beach while various kalons got to work on fixing the damages done. It was going to be a long cruise so at least Eli should enjoy it. The tourists all got lucky being near an island town full of games and not being stranded in ocean water. Eli was also glad they knew how to swim.
Eli had learned how to swim early on as a kit to avoid later troubles with the sea.
Being prepared is important for unpredictable weather or just weird situations like this. Eli was enjoying the island activities however. Looking for whales and fish was cool even though they did this back home all the time with friends. I guess Eli's friends were really coworkers though or the bosses or something.
It was a nice change of pace for Eli and there were tons of new kalons to meet that liked ships and fish so all was well in the end.

How does your kalon feel about their cruise breaking down?

Radford made his way down the gangplank sullenly, trying to avoid getting too close to all the Kalons leaving the ship. Some of them seemed excited by the prospect of exploring an unknown island, judging by their loud and cheerful chatter. Others were just making their way off the broken down Krab Kruise in a calm procession. The ones that caught Radford's eye were the select few who were acting as if they had survived the ship sinking, he rolled his eyes at their hysterics.

As soon as his feet hit the sand he strode off with purpose, trying to get as far away from the throng as possible. His thoughts were consumed with the idea of finding some small isolated space on the island that might provide a bit of peace and quiet. Not paying attention to where he was heading, he slammed into a tall, muscly Kalon with a bunch of impressive scars visible on his face and body.
"Sorry dude," he said.
The kalon seemed unimpressed by his apology, but noticing how tense Radford appeared he introduced himself. After mentioning he was the local mechanic, Radford ventured to ask, "Any idea how long this will take, Shark?"

Carcharodon sighed and shrugged. "It might take a day, it might take several days. I haven't had a proper chance to look at the damage yet. At the moment I've told your Captain to make sure everyone gets off the boat."
Radford and Carcharodon turned to watch the Kalons still disembarking, identical sneers on their faces.
"What are your thoughts about all this?" he asked.
Radford sighed and admitted; "I wasn't amped about coming. I won a ticket in a raffle. I live in a concrete jungle and I don't travel much so this is all new to me. I guess you could say I'm just going to take things as they come, because I don't have a choice."
Carcharodon nodded. "Best way to be. Some things are out of our control so you have to swim with the tide."
They continued to watch the Kalons come ashore in companionable silence.

Poe knew that going on this cruise wouldn't go well. After getting that terrible rash at Kamp last year and having to go home early, he had become more and more of a homebody. He was okay with the fact that he didn't see many sunsets or sunrises except from behind a foggy windowpane. He was perfectly content with sitting at home, working on his art and talking to Gil. Gil was worried, mind you. The little stuffed chicken's expression hadn't changed in the slightest, but Poe could tell that he was worried. Poe gripped Gil tighter in his paws as he watched more kalons clamber down from the ship. "It's okay, Gil. Nothing to worry about. Everything will be fine," he said softly in reassurance to his plush. He knew Gil was anxious being alone, so whenever he did happen to leave the house, Poe took him everywhere with him. Because of Gil's feelings. Because Gil needed to comfort. Because Gil. He sighed, and spent a moment arranging a palm leaf and sat Gil down on it, and sat himself down next to it. Poe blinked and spent a moment looking at the sinking sun. "Gil," he said softly. "Did you know that sunsets could be so bright?"

For starters, she's not happy. Like everyone else, she knew the price for the cruise was too good to be true. They're lucky that they made it to an island with people already on it. If anything though, she feels really anxious. Will the ship ever be fixed? What if she's unable to ever get back home? She's got stuff to do back home! Sigh... Well, if it came to it, this island isn't the worst...

She guesses...

After a while, she calms down. Exploring the island and learning her way around has helped a bunch in calming down. Even if the ship was broke as all heck, it would still be a fun trip, there was still plenty to do around the island. From the looks of it, she can still head to the casino, or comb the beach for stuff. Maybe she'll have a good vacation after all.

Wait.. .she left a lot of stuff on the ship! Dammit! She was so panicked to get off she forgot to grab her essentials. It's okay, she won't freak out, right? Nope. She's freaking out. She's naruto running to the ship. Oh gods, she's so determined to get her stuff she's rammed through every staff member that tried to stop her from boarding!

Oh... she's coming off now... it looks like at least she's gotten what she needed and has calmed down... Good...

Oh GODS! SHe'S GOING BACK!! EVERYONE RUN!!

Estelle was supposed to spend the evening sipping her sweet, fruity drink beneath the sunset. What she did not expect was for the ship to rumble and shake, causing her beverage to be knocked out of her hand and spilled right onto Estelle's white shirt. Yeah, what great timing for the ship to just flat out break like that. With an irritated sigh, she got ahold of her towel, listening to the announcement that boomed over the PA system.
xxx"Remain calm? Even after this?" Estelle grumbled, setting the towel aside. Even with a drink and shirt ruined, Estelle still bothered to check out what happened -- she was too curious. She approached the side of the ship deck, trying her best to angle her neck down to see what caused the damage. But with everyone trying to urgently evacuate the ship, all Estelle was able to see while getting bumped around was the foaming ocean water.
xxxEstelle usually was quite the calm person, but something about this mishap with the cruise cause her entire mood to change. Maybe it was her initial excitement being torn to pieces due to the odd explosion on the ship, or maybe the fact that the shirt she ruined was one of her favourites, being made from such a nice material. Or maybe it was the fact that it reminded her too much of her past. But that just sounds dramatic. Her mind snorted.
xxxShe carefully made her way towards the ship exit, taking in all the new scents of the island. "Salty." She mused aloud. The person in front of her gave her an odd glance. Estelle shrugged. With this happening, I'd much rather be at home than on this weird island. But I suppose I'm stuck here. Her eyes wandered the new area, and feeling the warmth of the sun hit her skin. She wondered if she remember to put on sunscreen.
xxxUpon further inspection, she hated to admit that the island was actually quite quaint and welcoming. But that didn't stop her from disliking the sudden change of events. But even with that, Estelle wished for a decent experience with the unpredictable circumstances. Maybe to the point where she'd even buy a souvenir? Or at least get her sunscreen on.
