what are they mad about?:
Chioma's fist landed heavily on the innocent table. "It is just completely disrespectful and disingenuous!" She glared at the kalon in front of her who furrowed his brow in discomfort and confusion. Chioma knew nothing about the guy who had asked to sit next to her, but after exchanging pleasantries and the topic of jobs was brought up, she had started a rant. "You see, when I was a kid, this wasn't as much of a problem. There was demand and mass production, but companies retained quality! Now they've kicked that out the window to jump on to trends and quick fixes." Chioma sighed.
"Toys just are not what they used to be. Take Monster U. dolls for example. They were well made! A good amount of joints and durable plastic. Of course, they were not of the incredible quality or design, but they were pretty good! Now the damn companies eliminated most of their joints and have started using cheaper plastic." Chioma picked up her drink jerkily, causing some to splash over the lip of the glass. The other kalon started to say something, but Chioma didn't notice and she placed her drink back on the bar. "Oh ho ho, and don't get me started on new toys today. What the hell are they thinking? Besides old brands that have changed their designs, new brands are hideous! Do they really think kids don't deserve refined and detailed characters in their toys?" The red kalon shook her head. "Did you know that the age for playing with toys has decreased in recent years? Don't quote me on this, I don't exactly remember the exact numbers, but on average, Darbies used to be played with until the age of 12! Now, it's 7 or 8. Technology has a huge role to play in that, but I also think these awful toys also have a role. What the hell is slime? What the hell are these damn toys these days? Do these big companies no longer care about supporting these kid's imagination and exhibiting an art??"
Chioma paused to take a breath. "Right, anyway, I'm a toy designer." The other kalon seemed dumbstruck and looked at Chioma with his mouth hanging slightly open. "What?" Chioma leaned forward with confusion. "Oh... sorry about that. Um... what did you say your job was?"
