Beau, the Blue Silkie Bantam!Story of how they met:
One day as he was taking a morning walk through the woodlands not far from the stables, Benny saw something of a grey-and-blue color speed alongside him and dart into the thick bushes. Curiosity got the better of Benny as he moved on to check it out and figure out what the little thing was. His mind raced with questions as to who or what it could be, a new friend?
After he was able to move away the bushes, a small Silkie was sitting there, he looked frightened and was breathing heavily as it seemed he had just escaped something! Benny wanted to comfort the Silkie and managed to had brought some oats along with him on his walk. He offered them to the scared bird who quickly gobbled them all up and soon had calmed down greatly! Then Benny had notice that one of its wings was injured, he offered the bird a ride on his back as they went back to the stables to get him some help for his wing. The Silkie climbed up and the two set off for home.
As a few weeks passed, the Silkie was all mended! But now he saw Benny as a great friend who saved his life, when offered to leave he refused and chose to stay with his new friend! Ever since that day, Benny and Beau the Silkie, can always be found together around the chicken coop near the stables with the flock of other chickens!
