Fave thing about the Fandom: my favorite thing about the fandom is how accepting it is. A majority of the time, the fandom will support your decisions as long as it is good for you. Plus, you can be as creative as you’d like with things that other people would look down on and the fandom will support you and give advice along the way. The fandom was the thing that saved me in one of the worst parts of my life as far and it helped me cope with everything that was happening.

So.. I've never used faux fox fur before. How is it for fursuits? Is it rough or still soft? How does it shave down? As apposed to luxury shag etc.

Fox fur is better quality than luxury shag, hence the higher price. I have some and it’s denser than luxury shag which makes it good for shaving since there’s less chance of seeing the backing. For furs luxury shag is average quality with fox, beaver, and seal being a higher quality.

Fave thing about the Fandom: The community is really supportive. Considering the fact that many furries are seen as strange and people that like animals in a sexual way, and just generally misunderstood, a real furry that understands what furries really are is usually really supportive to other furries. I also love being able to meet other furries and being able to relate because of that.

Faucet as Kylo Ren


I should have a base for Blaze (see my avi.) coming soon that I commissioned earlier this year from Yamishizen. Super hyped, I adore their work. Not really wanting to use luxury shag as I'm not too fond with the quality of Faucet's fur. Biggest issue will be the tail. Any tips on creating a long (floor dragging), fluffy feline tail?

I tried to get more time in partial, and with wearing a water pack + fan I was able to!

Also, what do people use for the bottom of outdoor feetpaws? Would EVA foam puzzle mats work or would they not be sturdy enough?

Gosh everyone has such beautiful suits. I still haven't finished my head smh. I haven't touched it in months and I need to buy more fur, but I've been putting it off. I admire everyone's patience with sewing and all their carving skills.

Do you have to have a good understanding of anatomy to make a head? And also, how do you make it look like the head is smiling?

Personally, I’ve only ever made one set of feet paws. I made them outdoor paws and I used a cheap excercise mat puzzle thing from my local Five Below (Here’s a link as a reference: https://www.fivebelow.com/sports/fitnes ... 4in-1.html). Super cheap and affordable and they work perfectly. Would definitely recommend.

Anatomy wise, I just kind of went off of tutorials from people on YouTube and then kind of just altered those in ways to fit who my character is. I never really put too much thought into the whole anatomy of her species XD. It took me a few tries in order to get the smile correct, but I think I got it something now that works for me. First, I used the usual pattern for the cheeks but wasn’t quite happy with the results :

Then, I decided to add long strips of foam, four in total, curved to mimic the shave of a large smile. I tried to use More For Less as an example as I LOVE their suits:

Then, today I finally carved the strips down to the desired shape and I couldn’t be happier for my first suit:
