Feral Tailed Walkers - A Midsummer's Fallow Event

Feral tailed walkers are closely related to their wild ancestors, the original 'feral equines' of Sweden, who sport a fluffy fin-like tail as well as fluffy dense manes. This feral versioned tail is slightly longer than a normal Sveldalas', and their thick fluff is extended over almost the entire length of the tail along each side, while still leaving the top spine of this whip-like appendage bare. Historically these tails were a necessity in the breed in order for them to shelter their thin bodies from the harsh winter storms that riddled the flats of Sjiska. Sadly these beautiful Sveldalas were hunted and captured into near existiction, until the domesticated version we know today was found within Svedala years later and completely altered from the previously known ancient variety. Many decades later, a herd of Feral Tailed Walkers were finally spotted once more, sheltering along the coasts of Simrishamn, and over time with close monitoring a select few were able to be captured to be imported into a special breeding program at the main Sveldala Sanctuary. Now, you have a chance to help rebuild the population of Feral Tail Walkers - by offering them a home within your stables and working to breed the variety out of their nearly-extinct status! Will you help try to keep these unique ancient Sveldalas' alive?

Winter.

Grey clouds covering the once soft blue fall sky which occasionally rain down their frozen contents. The delicate flakes coating the horizon and anything beneath his hooves. The soft crunching of the newly packed layer of pure cold after each hesitant step out into the world. Eyes squinted against the sun that shines off the snow drifts. Trees, once bare from the fall, now coated in their own coat of sparkling white, occasionally raining down loose flakes as a gentle breeze tugs at Erebus's disheveled mane. A beautiful winter wonderland painted out before him, bringing the promise of a glorious spring.

Why, of all the seasons, does Erebus choose winter as his favorite? When he was but a young foal, he was born near the end of a colorful fall. Leaves crunching beneath his tiny hooves as he pranced around his mother as she grazed. Winter would be a few days away, the signs creeping in hour by hour. When the first snowflake came fluttering from the sky, Erebus was set in a trance. What were these tasteless, chilly little flakes spiraling down from the winter grey clouds? Like any child would, Erebus turned to his mother, who explained winter was the start to a new beginning. That once its cold grasp was released from the earth, nature would be renewed, flourishing like never before. He was amazed, awestruck these tiny flakes could bring so much promise to them.

The leaves change color from a bright green to a mixed combination or reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. As they begin to fall off the tree branches they drift quietly and softly to the ground beneath them. Many of the animals that are often around all the time either leave for warmer areas or start to prepare for a long sleep till the seasons of Spring return. The grass and its once green blanket slowly start to take the color of dirt as the Autumn means that the Summer seasons have come to an end. But there is still much to enjoy about the Fall!
She enjoys taking long walks through nature centers, watching the leaves fall from the trees against a dulled blue sky, exploring the surrounding forests, enjoy a cup of hot apple cider outside on a nice day wrapped up in a blanket on the porch, and just like any other season, you can do anything during the Autumn! It is a very lovely season and she loves how it shows how colorful the world becomes just before the Winter seasons take their place. <3
