words.[ 330W ] The blue Ken poked her head out of the den she shared with her friend Vionnet and crept into the soft light filtering
down to the forest floor. Across the path from their den- a trodden dirt road separating their small territory inlaid with broken leaves
and the Dinokens' shared paw prints- Vionnet sat against a tree, eyes cast out across the woods in a daydream. Abraxas stretched out
her wings, making a quiet noise with a grin plastered on her face as she called out to the other Ken.
The nicker struck Vionnet's imagination down softly and encouraged her to tilt her attention behind, and she scampered with vigor to
Abraxas' side.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm perfectly fine," Abra said, the smile not leaving her face for a second, "but look at that."
She gestured with a wing to the sun which had just peaked over the hulking rocky masses, sending the warm mourning winds whistling
through the trees. There were already a few Dinoken from the surrounding flocks coasting on these breezes, enjoying the easy flying
as they spiralled outwards hunting for their meals. Glancing around, Vionnet's eye firstly caught a Ken gliding overhead nearby. Stilling,
she stopped herself for a moment to watch before peering back to Abraxas.
"Would you like to be with them?" She pondered overtly, casting a smile to her friend. "It looks exciting."
Abra's ever-present grin faltered for a second as her features scrunched in thought.
"Maybe, but I don't know, I wouldn't want to leave you alone out here." The blue Ken's heart gave a little pull, as much as she loved
her friend she wasn't suited to life as a loner.
"We can go together," Vionnet offered, contrasting Abraxas with a grin as she hopped forth to embrace the other for a moment. "It'll
be a good adventure, won't it? You could be way happier."
Abraxas smiled, leaning into the other Ken's touch.
"Yeah, as long as we do it together."

words.[ 350W ] Abraxas was born under a different name and gender both of which remained firmly in her past when she realized she never really felt right as a male. Her best friend since she was a hatchling, Vionnet, was the first ken that showed her it was even possible to identify as a different gender when she made the male to female. The blue ken had tentatively asked about Vionnet about it later mentioning that she might have felt the same way about herself. The pink ken was ecstatic being the most supporting person for Abra over those few months she was transitioning. Abra became much happier in following months after finally coming into her own and gained the courage to come out as lesbian. Vionnet was always a steady source support but not all other dinoken's shared the same views. A few unsavory individuals had bothered her about how if she was attracted to other girls why did she bother transitioning into a girl. The meaner kens used the facts that she kept her fur short and liked to act in a more masculine perceived way as reasoning for further torment about the subject. Her confidence took a huge dip, and she curled in on herself retreating into solitude so she could mull over all the things that were said to her. Her loving friend tracked her down to where she was hidden and the two kens had a conversation over what had happened. Vionnet suggested they moved to a new area and make some different, nicer friends. After a few days of Abraxas saying they didn't have to go through all this trouble just for her and Vionnet reaffirming her decision the two kens finally set off to find their new home. Their traveling lead them to settle in a large forest protected by hulking mountains, where they often saw other dinoken. They welcomed the newcomers into the territory with open wings explaining briefly the native flocks and their territories. Abraxas happy to be away from the hardships of her previous home settled in happily and began to thrive.

words.[ 320W ] In the torrents of blush and blue, Vionnet takes grip of the light and caresses Abraxas so; so to defend them both heretofore. She is an individual who means well- and to preserve, at best- and whom endeavours to stand boldly before any wanton affronts unto them. While her and Abraxas have remained interlaced since nigh birth, Vionnet has always prided herself most on confidence betwixt them, and oft she does her best to instil this onto her nervous friend also. While they were younger, both seemed to share a similar dole: as Abraxas did, Vionnet herself sparred at first with her identity, though of the two knew much better on resilience and hope while confronted with such troubles. Such came more easily for her to admit to herself, decidedly uncomfortable with whom she fronted before, and after discovering the answer to this uneasy despondence by the advice of a relative embraced herself readily and joyously. The same crisis troubled Vionnet's friend later, she discovered, after Abraxas met her carrying indistinguishable matters, though Abraxas struggled more so: as one with more comfortable grasp of a less feminine appeal and a sexual identity naturally sapphic, she suffered noticeably at her own hand and that of others, used to harassment for this; the fact was one which burned surely in Vionnet's stout heart, and which provoked her largely.
They would leave their flock sooner or later, lifted from the forest floor by intrigue for a better life and arisen to newer and more placid lands. Such again was the grateful acceptance of Vionnet where her friend faltered and worried, herself better mused in acceptance and optimism while she lacked much of the hardships Abraxas had endured: she steps forward with a great sense for life, unconcerned for others so long as she is comfortable. She would soon come to mentor Abraxas into greater confidence to herself and others within their new habitation.
