Prompt:
Honeydapple enjoys spending time with kits, joining in their games and hearing their stories, but as far as having any herself is somewhat torn. On one paw she thinks it might be really nice to be a mother and raise her kits to be the best warriors they could be, but on the other paw she isn't sure she wants to sacrifice those moons in the nursery while she has so much to do as a warrior. As much as she enjoys playing with kits and all that, for now she is putting off any decisions regarding kits of her own. She is young after all and still single, so she has time to think about that later and in the meantime enjoys babysitting other cats kits in her free time.

Spottedstar had always wanted her own kits as she loves them. She loves their innocence and their care free view of the world. They are the back bone of the clan and without them, the clan would fall. She feels that she is too old for kits and has too many problems with having them. What clan would want their leader in the nursery? That being said, she is always in the nursery with the queens and helping them raise their young warriors. The she-cat is happy to tell stories to them and play with them in their innocent games. Even though half of her wants her own, she does not even have a mate for it. Starclan never wanted her to have kits is what she tells herself to keep her from feeling sad about her lose of kits. Starclan gave her the clan as her very own kits.

"Because if they're mine, I have to take care of them. It's my job. And other's kits..... that's just like signing up for a full time commitment but with none of the perks of being able to call them your own or be proud of how they're turning out. Like, what's the point?"

Prompt:
Kestrelstrike can come across as blunt, a bit of a grump, and impatient, but when it comes to kits, she has all the time in the world. Ever since she became an elder due to a dodgy leg, she would visit the nursery frequently, offering help to the queens and watching over the kits; nothing can keep the spirited molly down when it comes to kits.

They put a smile wider than a river on her muzzle, and a soft glint in her green eyes. Despite her feisty and spirited nature, she is gentle and patient with very young kittens, a rumble of purrs escaping her throat as she watches them stumble and shuffle around. And as the kits grow older, her crackly cackle can often be heard in the nursery or around the camp as she allows the kits to clamber over her and practice their fighting and stalking skills. Very few things make Kestrelstrike prouder than watching the youngest lives of the clan grow, develop, learn and experience things for the first time, and the wonder on their small faces makes her proud and pleased she still has something to offer her clan after retiring.

Of course, Kestrelstrike being the young soul she is, she still likes to teach some more... unusual things to the kittens, namely how to pounce on their fathers and the other elders when they least expect it. She always says she'll stop with the next litter, but everyone knows that she never will, and just mentally prepare themselves for the furry ambushes that are taught by the one and only Kestrelstrike.

Polliwog sighed and rolled on her back beside Radishleaf. They were currently relaxing in the camp clearing, enjoying the fresh, sunny newleaf day. Polliwog sighed again, disturbing Radishleaf's nap.

"Camp is so quiet." Polliwog complained. "We need some kits around here to liven things up."

"Kits?" Radishleaf asked abrasively. Polliwog nodded, matter of fact as she rolled back on her stomach.

"Yes, little bundles of fur to keep us preoccupied on days like this." She answered, good humored. "I want some, but Silverpeak... Well, he's a little more reluctant to the idea."

"Wow, color me surprised." Radishleaf said sarcastically. Polliwog shot her a glance.

"Don't you want kits of your own?" Polliwog asked her.

"No." Radishleaf answered, assured.

"Why not?" Polliwog pushed further. Radishleaf sighed as she realized she wasn't getting out of this without talking about it.

"Kits are a lot of work." She began. "You have to carry them in your belly for moons, birth them, stay in the nursery and nurse them until they're apprentices, hoping they don't get sick or some predator doesn't enter camp all the while. And then, even when they're grown, you still have to worry about them. It's just too much."

"Yes, but there's so many good things about them." Polliwog responded, eyes gleaming.

"Well then I bless you with double the kits, both yours and mine." Radishleaf told her. Both the she-cats broke out laughing. Kits weren't in Radishleaf's future but she could always play with Polliwog's kits in the future.
