Dear Mr. D. Skygard
Following your absence two months ago, your neighbours have begun to worry about your whereabouts. They have reportedly knocked on your multiple times, with no reply, and have even looked through windows as well as opening the back door and taking a brief search. Upon noticing the messy state of your home (we were told that is abnormal), the Guard of Neria took the liberties of searching your home and the surrounding area. They found your personal items and money is missing. Whether that was of your doing or another individual is unknown. Seeing as you had no family or friends in the area, we are unsure if there is foul play involved, or if you had the untimely urge to travel. However, if you do find this letter, WE URGE YOU TO REPORT TO THE LAW BUILDING. Failure to return to your home in two months will result in THE LIQUIDATION OF ALL YOUR BELONGINGS AS WELL AS YOUR HOUSE. We have no choice but to follow through with these claims if you do not return.
Kind regards,
Cassius Belladona, Captain of the Seventh Legion

Dear Daggfinn,
We might have not talked much throughout your short time here in Neria, however, I enjoyed every time you graciously helped with my garden. I noticed the lack of lights and activity in your house so I took a quick look through your windows (hope you don't mind!). I saw you were not in there for a quite a while and I got worried so I went into your home through the back door. I know you're a very private person but I could not help it! I noticed your house was in quite in disarray so I tried to tidy up a bit. Then I found some old books and have come to realize they are the lost scripts of the old gods. I do not know how you got these but you could get in serious trouble for having them! I took them into my home so when the Guard of Neria searched your home (I alerted them of your disappearance, hope you don't mind!) they would not find it. I don't know why had these but please be careful, the king and queen could do awful things to you for even knowing about them! Please return home soon, my family and I are beginning to become worried sick about you.
Your friends,
The Scillia family

Discarding countless letters onto the ground with a sigh, Dagfinn began slinking around his own house. His house, that was now practically empty. It seemed the liquidation had already begun. Upon hearing his next door neighbour took the very thing he came back for, he couldn't help but feel like a deflated balloon. She was always sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. He knew he very well couldn't stomp over there demanding the old scrolls without getting taken in. So, with a deep frown on his face, he flipped on his hood and disappeared into the vale of night. He would just have to travel through The Forgotten Valley without guidance. Finding the old gods would be hard, but he would find them.
