Legend speaks of a ship lost at sea and the spirit of a young pirate woman longingly searching for her late lover.

In 1718, the Captain known as Mary Foley-Halloran (1698-1718) boarded The Golden Hour, determined to set sail for the Caribbean along with her crew. However, the ship never made it far from land - a dispute aboard the ship escalated into a full-blown fight which knocked the Captain unconcious and ultimately caused the ship to shipwreck. The ship and its crew were never seen again, though it is believed that the wreck lies somewhere off the coast of Ireland. The Captain's body is said to have drifted back to shore where she ultimately succumbed to her wounds. Though The Golden Hour and its crew perished in 1718, many believe the Captain herself to be among us still, desperately searching for her crew. Journals confirmed to have been written by her have surfaced following her death, mysteriously marked with dates after the day she died. She would often write about an unknown lover named Sebastian:



"May 24th, 1718

It has been two weeks since I awoke on that cursed beach. The guilt, how it haunts me! My crew - and Sebastian... I should never have yelled at you. I bite my tongue and pray that if I came out of this shipwreck alive, my crew - my sweetheart - they might still be alive. Somewhere.

Sebastian, my love, where are you? I will find you - if it is the last thing I do."
