name: "Callie" Calliston
prompt answer:
Calliston's mom glared at her, and they had a stare-off. Callie slowly extended her hand and when she was almost touching the object of her attention, her mom swatted her hand lightly.
"NO Callie! You leave it alone or you'll hurt the parts that are still alive and well!" she said while her glare intensified, but Callie remained unperturbed. As her mother had to turn back to cleaning up the house, she slowly turned away from Callie, squinting at her. Once in a while she'd look back suspiciously at Callie, who was still in her old spot, smiling innocently.
But as soon as her mother moved to another room to clean...
Callie quickly turned to the potted plant on the kitchen table, and pulled off a half-dead leaf from one of the branches, and crunched it up in her paws. Her giddy smile did not leave her face, even as her mother showed up in the doorway again.
"CALLIE! I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE THE DANGED PLANT ALONE!"
But once Callie had her sights set on a plant with dead leaves, nothing and no one could stop her. She grinned cheekily at her mother, who was fuming at the pieces that had to be cleaned up from the floor. Mm, cronch the plant.
