Mothkit snuggled down on his nest. The sun has dipped beyond the horizon and it's time to snooze. He snores quietly and behind to dream.

Rainbows, millions of rainbows. All of them bright, sparkling things. He loves them. His eyes shine as he dances around the flower filled meadows. His tail flicks as he races towards one. He chases and chases but it keeps on dodging his paws. He swivels, changing directions and darts over to a different one. He finally manages to reach it, but then - when his paws touch- grey.

The colour leaks out of the rainbow, all the rainbows. And Mothkit wakes up, crying.

Jenga and Jessie had decided to go on the walk with Jessie’s people and the little Border collie pup. However, halfway to their destination, the park, Jenga heard a rustling in the bushes, slowing down. Jessie noticed his actions, slowing down as well, the pup and humans not seeming to have noticed...Making a cat huff, Jessie glanced away, returning her attention to her bond, and the bushes that so greatly interested him, the bushes which contained that which had moved so in order to rustle them. They peered in and discovered...a fox cub, the little one yiping and growling at them. They managed to convince him to follow, running down the street, two adult foxes rushing from the woods ahead of them. The cub ran to them, and the cats headed off.

Daily Prompt Response!

Turfblizzard nudged the icy stone with her snout. Ew, it was all wet. And melting. She sat back on her haunches, confused. Her sharp eyes never left the rock even as it dripped. Stiffening her back, she shook her head to remove the water from her muzzle; then fetched a leaf. The molly placed the crinkly leaf on top of the rock.

Causally, she shifted forwards and rolled the rock forwards. She waited, the sun was beaming down so she was guessing it would melt soon. It was ultra exciting, waiting to see the actual rock. Her tail twitched as she wondered how exactly it had even got covered in ice.

Turfblizzard squeaked like a kit as the lead floated to the ground and landed in the puddle of water now surrounding the pebble. She rolled it with her paws, eyes bright. It was still damp, but drying quickly and she tucked it carefully under a clump of moss.

That would keep it away from Cloudpelt, she thought bitterly: the pointed grey tom had "accidentally" left his rock in her nest that morning. Yeah right; it was always turning up in there. Her bad luck having the nest next to him.

The warrior gave the moss another quick pat before heading over to the fresh kill pile for a snack. She settled down next to Grapestripe with a smile and a rueful glance at the squealing white kits attacking the prey. Cloudpelt and Bushhowl's kits even, she realized with a snort.

Sorry about the late rollover. Day 20 and Day 21 will have the same prompt since there's not much time left for Day 20.

Edit: I'll be keeping the same prompt up for the rest of the month. I'm honestly out of ideas.
Week four's prompt is the same as week three's.
