Personality:

Ottersplash’s careful, honey-slow drawl can be disarming for those who don’t know him. He’s sociable, even charismatic in some situations, but he keeps all of his boisterous and heartfelt emotions in a place where strangers aren’t privy to. Though a soft smile commonly populates his face and he’s always up for a quick conversation, he’s decidedly closed off to any onlookers. It’s not uncommon for him to have some cats take this as an invitation to view him as a friend right off the bat and make it seem as if he’s somehow on their side. And in all honesty, this little fact offends him. Greatly.

Ottersplash grew up in a group that upheld personal discipline with an iron paw. He was taught to keep his head held high and his eyes bright, and have a greeting ready since crude manners were tantamount to dishonor. But above all else, he was taught to keep his vulnerabilities to himself. Though he’s long since broken free from the admittedly stifling way of life, he still retains these ideals, though for a slightly different reason. Nowadays, he keeps his true personality under lock and key since he believes that strangers have no business in knowing anything about him unless he’s willing to share. Trying to gain access to that information only seems particularly rude to him. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that his attitude is at all sour.

Ottersplash values family above many things in his life mainly because he had so little taste of it growing up. To those he opens up to, Ottersplash becomes a very caring, boisterous kitty. His laugh is as big as his heart, and his overall gentle and patient nature makes him a fast friend to children and meeker personalities in the clan. He’s highly cognizant of the needs of those in his clan and works to meet them in small, sometimes unnoticable ways. But, his more mischievous tendencies make him prone to teasing his clanmates in these instances as well, but he tries to pull back when they end up being excessive.

To his enemies, Ottersplash protective anger is somewhat notorious. Though he adores his clan and the cats in them and rarely changes his viewpoint on them due to his innate loyalty to everyone he’s close to, he’s left with no spare charity for those who go after what he values the most. The group who raised him didn’t just teach him manners; they taught him to keep his claws sharp as well.
