What is a Shadow Flit?
Shadow Flitz (Singular; Shadow Flit) are a long bodies species that have long since lost their hind legs, tail, and eyes to the power of the shadow and have replaced them with mold-able wispy appendages. These large, friendly beasts have been recently tamed to be ridden by humans and anthros alike. They have large, wide front paws, long pointed ears, and short, smooth fur. They can be naturally found in dark caves, wetlands, or thick forests. however have also been spotted in pastures while hunting. They are carnivores- meaning they are only meant to eat meat and they often prey on birds, deer, rodents, and bats.

well

oh morning's taunting smile shines
thus the moon retreats,
a coward beyond the horizon.
what a time, the pride of the sun.
it sits upon it's golden throne among the heaven,
a tyrant in the skies.
children weep dry tears,
casting it's unwelcome rays
and turning the dead within their graves.
how dry, how arid this desert wasteland.
collect water from our well, depleting with the sands of time.
prophet rhyme tells of our fate to come,
send her off he cries.
to find hope in hell, a patch of life among death.
in hopes we may survive,
join a camel caravan and look with your eyes.
do not sleep, do not blink and let not of desert illusions pollute your mind.

The sun rises over mountain crest
She lies down to rest
Morning rises she’s still asleep
The sun now high, not a peep
Soon the sun begins to lower
She starts to wake like a blooming flower
Stars sprinkle the cool atmosphere
She looks up at the moon from down here
Now when it’s dark out
She awakens with a shout
She picks up her journal
Called nighttime eternal
She’s writing, writing away
Until sadly, again it is day.
