What Are Amarogs?

Amarogs are a closed adoptable non-profit species. They are wolf-like with large, muscular forearms, heavy tails, and hind legs made of a strange hard shadow. They are a cursed species found all around the world, forming packs or remaining solitary.

Since Amarogs are a closed species, you cannot simply make one of your own. Please read the species rules and information to learn about how to adopt one, or how to obtain a custom.

As the spring solstice simmers down to a close, the gentle sound of water trickling can be heard. A calming stream with a sandy shore can be seen, twisting and winding through the landscape. Moonlight shines brightly upon the surface waters, shimmering as the purple flower nearby blooms to reveal it's blessing. Grains of sand, pushed together by the current catch under the glimmering waters, gathering more and more and begin to take form. As a webbed foot steps from the water, the light reflects from its short pelt as the amarog emerges.

Trait Description: The Water mutation is the physical manifestation of power over water. The Amarog that bears it has sleek and smooth skin with either no fur, or very short "peach fuzz." Their ears perform far better beneath water than on land, capable of detecting the most minute sound from up to two miles away. When swimming, they use their massive webbed forepaws to power through the water, tucking them close to the body and curling the fingers to reduce surface tension when moving them forward, and extending them outward and fanning out their fingers to propel them when moving them backward. Their tail is a paddling and steering device, often times moving side-to-side like a sharks, or twisting ever so slightly to help them change direction. The water on their neck is ever present, fulfilling the need to always have some sort of moisture on them to stay alive. Just above the water are gills that close tight when the Amarog is surfaced to allow their nose and mouth to work with their lungs without interference.

(Kaiyiali is black with white eyes and a signature white ring on her forehead. Horns extend from her head and branch out, two parts curling and meeting each other to form a ring and two other parts dipping slightly and curling away to form symmetrical branches that slightly follow the curled ring portion. She speaks in two tones: a haunting whisper akin to wind through dead tree branches, or a booming sound like thunder echoing off canyon walls.
