why?; they find them very interesting! They're pretty cute and their favourite fact about them is that their eyes are the biggest in the animal kingdom (compared to body size). Coral also thinks that Vampire Squid have the best name. They love supernatural things especially vampires and zombies. They sometimes wish they were a Vampire Squid, just for the name!

Coral sat on the slimy rock, swinging their legs eagerly. They knew that the school of squid had to be swimming over soon. They sat here every night, waiting for the orange creatures. There was one special one too.

They stared into the distance, and finally spotted a flitting Squid-shape. They gripped the seaweed excitedly, and as the school came alongside them they waved at the smallest one. It was her special friend and always came to see her. Today it only paused to brush her cheek, before swimming away. Coral watched it go, smiling wistfully. If only she had a friend that wasn't a Vampire Squid..
