Prompt;; It depends on why Levi is at what his nest is made of, as he’s more often then not away from the clan and therefore tends to sleep somewhere new every night. Of course, when he is in camp his nest consists of the normal pieces of moss and other soft things the apprentices find and piece together. For some reason, though Levi doesn’t sleep as well in camp, the den always seems to be closing in on him and the moss just scratches at his fur.

So when he’s traveling he makes his nest a bit different, under the stars. As long as the weather allows him to do so Levi would rather be under the stars, sure it can be next to a tree or a rock to block some of the wind, but he can’t be closed in. It doesn’t matter what it’s made of either, just a cleared away patch of dirt works, as long as he isn’t closed in. His next is made out in the open, as often as he can do it.

No-- of course it isn't just moss and grass.
Who would want to go for the basics? Not Sandface, of course-- she is pretty, and wants to carry that through all areas of life. She wants to flaunt it!

And what better than showing off?

So of course-- there's feathers (only the brightest)-- little bits of ornamental items, like berry stains (for color) and little rocks that glitter in the sunlight.

Is it good to sacrifice comfort for prettiness? Perhaps not, but Sandface doesn't care-- she goes all out. And what else would you expect from a molly who's as vain as her?

The inside of Glorypaw's nest isn't anything special. It's soft moss that she harvested herself and feathers from birds that she's had for fresh kill. Frankly, it's a lot like the other apprentices' nests.

The outside is a different story. Glorypaw has spent a lot of time in the mines collecting shards of geodes. She lines them around the edge of her nest almost like a protective barrier. Although they look pretty, there's a deeper meaning. Each shard represents a ghost she's crossed paths with - one for her mom, one for her dad, one for that strange tomcat a long time ago, et cetera. Nobody knows why she does it, but every time it's brought up she freaks out.

The three largest shards represent the Great Lions of the Sky. She won't tell anyone when she met them, but those specific shards were the first she put on there when she moved it. Must be something special.

Wolfwhisper is a fairly lazy cat. He will work for a small bit but then sleep. He calls it “self care”, but in reality, he just wants to sleep. When sleeping, he looks to give himself the most comfortable nest possible. Not just the normal grass and twigs. The base of his nest is covered in the finest moss and is draped over with squirrel and rabbit pelts. He wouldn’t dare sleep on anything less. He thinks too highly of himself to do so. He only settles for the finest, cleanest, prettiest pelts for his nest, growing his collection after every meal.

No matter what her status might afford her, her nest isn't actually made of anything. Which... definitely came as a surprise to her. Believe it or not, it's a step down from the nest she called her own when she was a peasant. At least with that, she could line it with thin fur she peeled from her prey, as scant as that prey was.

The nest she has now is just a hollowed recess in the ground, widened meticulously since she was a half-grown kit (as her bloodied paws could attest to-- to an orphan like her, the rough ground was unforgiving). Ever since she joined the racers, she wasn't afforded much luxury despite her elevated status. The nobility view them all like breathing trophies, and the common thought was that any detritus that could rot would bring about sickness. And now, Naila was a racer! She was too valuable to get sick. So, no purr-worthy soft things. She sometimes looks on enviously at the downy nests that the nobility boast, but she tries not to dwell on it. She gets the food she requires and the respect she wants. What more could she need?

Prompt;; What Noelani's bed looks like varies... mainly because she has a bad habit of sleeping in the beds that belong to other cats. It's an annoying habit, but she's never comfortable in just one nest. However, one thing is consistent throughout all of these nests; and that's flowers. Typically, Noelani will accent her moss beds with many flowers, primarily roses, as the smell calms her down and prevents her from experiencing frequent nightmares, which are otherwise quite common. It's not necessarily to look pretty, rather to calm her nerves and allow her to actually sleep.

Seapaw was found after being abandoned by her mother when she was still a kit. Lost and confused, Seapaw found comfort by curling up in an old bird's nest that had fallen to the ground. When she was found by the Clan, she refused to leave the nest, which had become the only place she felt safe. Eventually, they persuaded her to leave by bringing the old bird's nest with them back to camp.

Now, Seapaw lines her nest with feathers and down for comfort, which reminds her of the old bird's nest. She still keeps the bird's nest nearby, in the same way one would keep a stuffed animal or blanket they were attached to as a child.

doestreak has always been a workaholic, and because of this it shows. they're a restless sleeper, but because of their workaholic nature they never have time to fix their nest. their nest is always just moss, normally very old moss with stones and sticks stuck in it and normally is spread all across the room. they have tried countless times to just throw out the nest and just sleep on the floor, but their mate, rookfang will not let them do that so they just have a plain old nest that's messy and has unwanted items in it. sometimes, rookfang makes their nest for them with feathers and wool inside, but that's not very often and it quickly gets destroyed and the cycle repeats.

Prompt;; Kestrelsnap is an amazing bird hunter, and how she desplays this is lining her nest with the soft feathers of the birds she's hunted. Her nest is like a rainbow, and everyone knows it's hers, even the new warriors. Usually, depending on her mood, Kestrel will take a couple of feathers from her own nest and tuck them neatly behind her ears. Its a fashion statement that her clan has slowly started to pick up on. Flowers, twigs, feathers, leaves, whatever.
Kestrel started a trend in her clan, "line your nest with whatever you want to tuck behind your ears." (But not every cat does this)
