Prompt:
Meadowsong was not one to get stressed very easily. Nor was she one to let others know that she was, in fact, stressed out. Her positive, cheerful attitude always sought to keep the other cats happy, keep tensions low, and be a friend to everyone. On the rare occasion that she did show emotion other than happiness, the stopper on the bottle of her emotions coming off, it would reveal anger or sadness, usually not stress. But Meadowsong had a secret - her life was always stressful. She always wanted to help others, she didn't know how to say no to requests for her help, and she always wanted to be well-liked. But that was just who Meadowsong was... so how did she deal with this stress when it haunted her everyday?
She sings.
It wasn't really singing, at least not in the Twoleg sense. No, instead it was more of a hum, almost like a purr, but close enough to a cat version of song that it was beautiful to the cats that heard her. Meadowsong didn't really share her 'voice' with others, but sounds carries through the forest. Her singing had developed into a nightly habit - always going out shortly before dusk to a small little copse not far from the camp. It was there, surrounded by trees and protected from view by dense vegetation, that Meadowsong would close her eyes and sing. It was here that she felt like she could carry short tunes to reflect on her day - whether it had been a particularly frustrating, happy, or sad day, she could show it in her voice.
