What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Funny pet story: We used to have goats - nine of them! - and our buck, Wolfman Jack, was kept in a pen nearest our dog's outdoor run. One day we heard a dog barking but our dog was inside and quiet and when we looked outside Jack was barking at a deer in the yard! This goat had learned to bark just like a dog and was even doing it to tell us something weird was at the house!

Funny pet story: My current cat used to have the nickname of 'Flop Cat' when he was a kitten. He had this habit of just flopping down on any surface, go completely limp and then roll. Due to his small size this caused him to fall off many things such as the bed, couches, chairs, laps, the steps. He always landed right side up and he seemed to think it fun as he would just go and repeat the process. One time I was sitting on the bed and he was in the pillows doing his thing all stretched out like a noodle and suddenly I heard this thunk before hearing a small meow from under me. He had settled himself on the pillows stretched out and rolled right off the mattress and ended up under the bed. I don't think he had meant to do it as he seemed pretty confused about how he got there and I had to go 'rescue' him. He has since grown out of his flopping stage but it was funny to watch while it lasted.
