The prompt can be used as the theme of the poem, or even just appear in the poem (the actual words "a dream" can be somewhere in the poem, but doesn't have to be the theme of the poem.) The poem doesn't need to rhyme.

we all dream to be something
as a young child
but could we be anything
when we become an adult?
do we ever really try
to reach for the moon?

we can only ever wait
patiently among the stars
before shooting again

a dream may suck you in, take all your strength
it'll leave you high and dry above all else

if you dont fight for that dream
it may run away from you

sometimes in life
there is only a small chance for a dream to become reality
and if you dont take that reality while its there
a dream, will only become a nightmare

and within that nightmare, you will finally see
that a dream
may become a reality.

It's just a dream.
Not reality, not even a thought, just a dream,
A product of my sleeping mind.
Fragments of my life put together to create yet another story.
As I sleep under the stars.

It's just a dream, not even my own imagination.
Not a story, not a thought, out of this world.
Reflection of another reality.
For my mind travels through dimensions while I rest.

It's just a dream like every other one.
So logical, yet it contradicts the laws of existence themselves.
Because it doesn't exist.
It was never real, yet upon awakening, it becomes.
A tale brought into my world.
As I woke up with a start or with my mind full
Of stories from somewhere else.
Someone else.
Who even knows?

I don't.
Not anymore.
That part remains on the other side.
As the mirror reclaims it bit by bit.
Yet it still whispers.

Those dreams were never mine.
