Quarantine lives in whats left of a post-apocalyptic -esk, radiation flooded island with a small community
with other toxic-waste poisoned creatures. Many years before the accident, a small portion of the island was quarantined off as a nuclear testing site. Although the scientists working there thought they had taken all precautions, there was an accident that resulted in a huge toxic waste spill throughout all the island. The already small community of boas living there had no intention of moving, especially since the scientists had no intentions of telling them of the spill and fled the scene of their grave mistake almost immediately.
Now, years later, the radiation poisoned creatures still live on the island in their deranged, toxic little community of gangs, street venders and party goers.. A scene QU4R4NTIN33 is very familiar with - theyre the wildest, most creatively sporadic, radiationed brained DJ on the island.

Not long ago, Splats had been a normal Feather Boa, with thick black fur and small white splotches. He'd often accompany his owner, a Chemist, to his workplace, lying comfortably around his shoulders. Splats wasn't all that bold, often shying away from strangers, but his strong curiosity often found him trouble. One day, he managed to slink away from his owner to explore the lab and wound up spilling a beaker of a strange ooze all over himself. The once pale splotches on his fur tuned bright pink and yellow, his eyes following suit. Perhaps the strangest of these changes was the fur along his back being replaced with a similar green goop, the skin underneath turning transparent. When the Chemist found him, he was shocked to find his beloved boa in such a state, fearing for Splats' health. However, Splats was just fine. Though there was one final side effect that was very surprising. The Ooze seemed to flip a switch in Splats' brain, leading the once timid Boa to find new confidence and energy.

Nowadays, Splats spends his time with his owner, practicing his painting skills and helping in the lab. He is far more friendly with the other employees and just as mischevious as he was before. The Chemist had learned Splats' condition is permanent, but he's certain the gooey boa will be just fine.
