There was a point in her life where Shrikekit looked up to someone, certainly, as most kits do. The stronger cats, especially so her mother and older molly clanmates were inspirations for her, though no one motivated and interested her quite as much as her uncle Duckbee. Known as the best hunter within old Beamclan, one couldn't help but wonder how in the world he got to be where he was, and how to get to the same lengths as him. As a kit she would follow him around, being the most bold of her siblings, which her uncle was entertained by when he saw an ecstatic little furball copying his movements and trying her best to curl her tail like his. An idol was an understatement for her, he was undoubtedly her hero.

Moving to apprenticeship, Shrikepaw still looked up to her uncle, and was actually rather disheartened when her brother Duckpaw got him as a mentor. Still idolizing her uncle as much as she was as a kit, she would ask how Duckbee's hunts went and how Duckpaw is going with his training whenever she saw him. This was, of course, before the death of Duckpaw shattered her idol's spirit. To learn the best hunter to have existed in the entirety of old Beamclan resign his position as an early elder, almost crushed her own spark to keep training. At first she saw him as a coward, giving up over an accident, but over time saw his reasoning. Shrikepaw vowed to him to overtake his title as the best hunter, swearing her own claws on it. He laughed and accepted her challenge, leading Shrikepaw to continue her training with vigor.

Later in her adulthood, after receiving her warrior name, Shrikepounce was considered the most determined and hardworking of the hunters. In fact, there was rumor that Duckbee suggested her suffix '-pounce', as she often told him of her hunting trips and training as well as praising her hunting skills. Over time Duckbee became less a hero to her, but more so someone she can confide in over her worries. She still adored her uncle, and thought highly of him, but he was no longer someone at the top of the mountain. Those views come with age, as she has been told, though she still wishes for the pure mentality she had at a kit. Now that she is older, she can't help but notice the more depressing parts of the world. This was especially so after her father was crushed in a landslide when Doeleap was trying to take the remaining members to a new home. Not knowing if her brother and childhood friend were safe wracked her mind, but with Duckbee by her side, she was able to voice her worries to him.

As she finally reunited with him in Beamclan, she finds him to be more than she originally thought as a naive kit. This is why Duckbee, is the cat she looks up to most.

While most cats her age look up to their mentor or the cats in power, Applepaw actually looks forward to a warrior. Ravencall is a source of inspiration, not because of her battle skills or heritage, but because of her sweet personality.
Applepaw is a snappy cat, who is very irritable and protective, willing to fight with anyone if she disagrees with them. She doesn’t like this, and she has tried to change, but struggles with it. She is just so rooted into her secure life of being alone that she has grown defensive and pushes everyone away.
Ravencall is very good with younger cats, and is, in a way, the mother Applepaw never got to know. She comes to the black furred she-cat whenever she needs advice, or just to hang around and listen to the story of Ravencall and Harestar’s relationship and travelling to CreekClan’s territory.
Another thing Applepaw admires about Ravencall is that instead of being a powerful leader like her brother offered when he tried to make her deputy, she chose to be a strong warrior. Most cats would leap and sometimes fight over the opportunity, but she turned it down. According to Ravencall, she turned it down because her paws were carrying her down a different path, and she had her own destiny to uphold in the clan, one as a follower and not a leader.
Ravencall continues to shock Applepaw, and leaves Applepaw speechless and wanting to know her reasonings for her answers. Applepaw feels safe around the motherly cat, and can’t wait to fight alongside her.

There is no doubt that a certain apprentice looks up to another.
There is something... charming, per se, of Avocetpaw; he may be of the ill-tempered sort, but he isn't all that bad; according to Poppypaw.
Heronpaw suspects that she harbors feelings, of a sort. Idolization may be her main emotions, but...
there's something odd in the way she constantly defends and attempts to get his attention, much to his chagrin.

And why Poppypaw does so? Heronpaw hardly truly knows. Why would anyone love the grump of a brother she had?

And as Heronpaw gazes into the younger she-cat's eyes; she realizes that the eyes truly are windows of the soul.
Who would know what the future holds?

Who would know Poppypaw would staunchly defend Avocetpaw, even if he did objectionable deeds?
Who would know that she'd be a key point in his war, undermining her former Clan?
Even as warriors, Poppy would stand by his side; perhaps not as true mates (Heron doubted it now, and then); but as a fighter, devoted to her new leader.

And blue paws stepped over orange; now stained with a color of the passion she carried through life, but dulling and dead.
There was a twinge of regret.
Was it right to commit this deed?

And as she challenged her brother's gaze, he would growl as he realized she had fallen;
"Did you love her, or was she only a pawn in your game?"
"Who set the standard for the "unloved pawn"? You'll never know the true story."

But this Heronpaw would not know this, yet.
All there was was a childish crush. And how could those lead to war?

Everything about the she-cat captivates her, from the way she moves like holding her head high when she walks, to the words of wisdom she speaks, and the calm demeanor she has when facing adversity. An idol in every sense, Cinnamonleaf wants to BE Leopardstar. She wants to learn how to walk, talk, and act like her. Cinnamonleaf is incredibly greatful to Leopardstar for all she's done, and by trying her best to be like Leopardstar, Cinnamonleaf hopes she can spark the same inspiration in another cat someday with her own actions.

Prompt: the cat blazewish looks up to most is hurricanestar, of course. they met in the clan hurricanestar grew up in, when the cinnamon smoke was known as mila. then blazepaw, she admired the slightly older cat for her tenacity. something about mila was simply mystifying to blazepaw, and she was determined to find out what it was.

she couldn’t imagine that mila grew up a kittypet! after spending a lot of time with her, blazepaw discovered the truth one night as mila described her past in tears. the storm, her parents, the enigmatic clan behind the house, everything. the twolegs who saved her, the ‘hurricane’. blazepaw stayed by mila’s side and comforted her in love.

she got the name blazewish from her wish to always be by mila’s side. the two mollies were inseperable, but blazewish couldn’t bring herself to tell mila she was in love. mila had a following of many cats, so why would the amazing molly love her back?

blazewish was excited when mila confessed her feelings. blazewish had always looked up to her, as a role model of sorts. when mila left their clan, blazewish also left - all they’d need was each other.

Prompt: Before the flood, Mottleleaf looked up to Relicstar like the founding tom was a god, a living starclan warrior. Relicstar had started the clan, brought in warriors, and created something great, not every cat could do that.

Even after Relicstar lost his final life in the night, and Heroncall became leader, Mottleleaf still looked up to Relicstar as an example to live by. Mottleleaf was a little surprised when Nectarwing was named deputy, she was young and had trained only a single apprentice, but Heronstar's reasons were good, and Mottleleaf didn't mind. There were sure to be plenty of moons for her to gain experience before Heronstar was called the Starclan.

Then the flood came. Mottleleaf was one of the ones to pull the kits out of the camp, and was already in high ground when Nectarwing, one of the last in the camp, arrived, soaking wet...and alone.She said that Heronstar had gone after some apprentices who'd returned to camp in the middle of the flood.

A few hours later, when the apprentices returned, they said that Heronstar had been swept away. Mottleleaf joined the search parties after the flood ended. But by the time a moon had passed, she had to accept it. Heronstar was dead. Comforting her apprentice, her third since joining Relicclan, Mottleleaf turned to watch Nectarwing. Despite having lost her leader, Nectarwing was walking through their temporary camp, checking that everyone was alright.

Nectarwing gained Mottleleaf's respect that night. More than her respect, Mottleleaf began to look up to her, despite her being much younger than she. As Nectarwing left the camp with the medicine cat to get her nine lives, Mottleleaf pointed her out to her apprentice and said "If you can be half as courageous as Nectarwing, then you will be one of the greatest warriors to ever serve Relicclan."

If there was any cat that Ivypatch had ever considered her role model, it would have been Hemlockflame. The older she-cat was so calm, so patient... it was mind boggling how one cat could have so much tolerance for other's behavior. Ivypatch herself was a little too harsh at times, focusing only on healing physical wounds rather than emotional ones. Hemlockflame would always make sure that other cats were alright on a deeper level, something Ivypatch could never bring herself to do. After all, her job was to heal wounds, not hearts. After all, Ivypatch had already broken her own fair share of hearts, no matter if these feelings were romantic or platonic. Hemlockflame has always wanted to make the world a better place, something that Ivypatch deeply respects. Almost like a mother to her, Ivypatch is doing her best to be like Hemlockflame and care more about not just her patients, but other cats in general... Perhaps one day Ivypatch can learn to ask if cats are okay, more than just physically. Until then, she will always call in Hemlockflame for back up and treasure the lessons that Hemlockflame has been able to teach her, despite their different paths in the clan.
