Kalon Name: Cassiopeia
Kalon Gender: Female
What is their favorite thing?: A solid brass belt buckle.
Would they push said thing off a table?:

11/10 would push onto the floor. Makes an excellent jingling sound.
What’s my favorite thing? Why in the world would you want to know something like that? We’ve only just met!
But, I do love talking about him, so I suppose that I’ll tell you. I most certainly expect something in return though! Aha, in return for the information, you owe me!
A sly smile creeps across Xena’s face, and you can’t help but feel a shiver across your spine. For a moment, you wonder if you’ve made some sort of grave mistake. But as she continues, you realize it’s too late to do anything about it, so simply hope it turns out for the best.
Alright... THIS! She turns slightly, and you can’t help but blink confusedly as the object seemingly pulled out of nowhere is waved far too close to your face for you to really see it. This is my most treasured object! See, the marvelous myriad of colors, and the way the silver just shines? Isn’t it marvelous? Oh I just LOVE opals, and the way the silver snake twines about it.. it’s almost as though it’s living!
As she pulls it back a bit, you’re finally about to properly appreciate the necklace- for that’s indeed what it is. The silver shines beautifully, and the coiled winged-snake holding the opal in place is nearly breath-taking, each scale shown in painstaking detail, and carefully shaped so that it almost seems the snake is alive! The opal is gorgeous, and the snake itself has eyes made of fire opal! But... you find yourself slightly confused. Weren’t the eyes of the snake closed just a moment ago? As beautiful as the piece is, you find yourself having a growing sense of unease, remembering that Xena called this... necklace... him. You look up to meet her multicolored eyes and immediately notice the glint seems to have sharpened a bit. Her grin grows as she carefully sets the necklace down onto the surface between you.
So that’s it. My most precious object- a necklace of my own design! It took A great amount of time to create it.. and I can’t help but be proud about the finished result. Please, if you have more questions, ask away!
Your unease lifts slightly as you see the love and pride she hold when she looks at her creation, and the gentle was she caresses it. You do feel like you are accepting a dare though as you prepare to ask your next question.
For a moment, Xena simply looks at you, eyes widened comically in surprise. You can tell she most certainly wasn’t expecting that question. Then, she bursts into laughter, eyes closing with her mirth. Her laugh seems to have an underlying hiss, and she’s still giggling slightly as she answers.
Would I- would I push my creation off the table? What sort of a question it that! Ahahahahahahaha! All the things you could’ve asked, and that is what you choose?
She laughs a bit again, before pulling herself back together and looking at you with a friendly and considering look in her eyes. You shrug sheepishly, but don’t rescind your question.
You know, I think I like you. So I’ll humor you, and answer your question.
You can’t help but stand a little straighter at that, and she seems to mirror your action, and looks at you seriously.
To answer your question, no, I would not push my most prized possession off of the table. How could I, when I spent so much time and effort in making sure it was perfection? I poured my heart and soul into this piece!
As you listen to her speak, your eyes locked onto hers, you notice a subtle movement in your peripheral vision... it seems her hand has made its way onto the table, and is now resting in front of the snake necklace, which lies dangerously close to the edge.
I most certainly would not- her words are interrupted by a thump, and you realize that her necklace now lies on the ground. She continues on as though she didn’t even notice, and it’s all you can do to fight off a laugh - ever, ever! Knock my precious baby off the table!
You look back at her face, and can see the surprised laughter dancing in her eyes. Finally you can’t help it anymore and begin laughing, an activity she joins you in. You notice the hissing undertone once more... but this time, when she trails off, the hissing continues on. Just for a moment, but a moment is all you needed to realize the hiss did not come from her at all. A question finds its way to the tip of your tongue, but something convinces you to keep the idea firmly in your mouth. As your glance flicks down to the snake on the floor before looking up into her eyes once more, you notice a bit more of a dangerous glint in her eyes, though it seems somewhat placated. You know, then, that you made the right choice in not asking if her snake was alive.
You know... I really do like you, dear. So before you go, I must remind you that questions have costs. Not all of the answers are so benign as those today. You’ve made wise decisions, and for that, I will release you from your debts, and leave you with this parting note. You’d best be careful, dear, making deals with others. You never know if it could be a devil in another’s skin. Now, shoo! Enjoy yourself, dear.
You nod shakily, and begin to make your way out of the strange little place you found yourself in. As you reach the door, you glance back once more and see that she seems to be whispering to her snake necklace... which is most certainly in a different position than it was before. You exit, and can’t help a breath of relief escaping your lungs as you take in the openness around you. You turn, expecting to find the home and shop you had just exited, but to your shock, there is nothing more than an abandoned plot there. As you turn to make your way back home- and realize you must’ve been there longer than you imagined, as it was daybreak when you entered, and seems to be the middle of the night now- you realize that whatever just happened... it most certainly wasn’t natural. And you were definitely lucky to escape at all. With that happy thought, you hurry home, the encounter fading into the back of your memories with every step you take.
