What is their favorite thing?: It's a chewed-up pen. Why keep a chewed pen, you ask? It's none of your business, Jupiter would reply. She loves her pen.
Would they push said thing off a table?: Hell no! It's a limited edition pen. Who would want to risk breaking such a precious thing?

Jupiter was an aspiring artist since a kid, and bought herself her very first drawing pen (limited edition, even) with her own lunch money at 10 years. She was proud of it, for sure-- exclaiming "I bought this pen with my own savings!" at the playground the next day. For a cheap price, she thought, it fetched rather good sketches. It had been the love of her life as a child.

Growing up however meant she had to buy better materials. Architecture courses were unforgiving to the pen and pencil, and she couldn't use her now chewed-up pen because it wasn't the standard drawing tool her professor required them to use. Despite less use of the pen, Jupiter was too nostalgic, and kept the pen safe with her. She decided to use the pen only during her free time, when she was sketching portraits or drawings for herself or for others.

She and her pen have been to places-- during field trips she'd bring it along and before sunset would draw the scenery as she saw it sitting on the ground, cross-legged with her sketch pad in place. Never mind that the pen wasn't on sale anymore; the ink of her pen was refillable, thankfully, so all she had to do was buy the refill every time she would lose ink. Her pen wasn't useless despite being phased out long ago.

Her proudest piece was one of the northern light she had seen at fifteen; it was such a beautiful sight that she couldn't ever dream of losing that memory, so she sketched it in place for her to look at at times she'd want to relieve the memory. And she had all her pen to thank for that.
