The thick veil of silence within the house was pierced by the sound of glass shattering.
She was a storm, inside and out, and her hands the means of destruction. She slammed and kicked and tore anything within her reach. Nothing was safe, not even as when her hands were so mangled and torn she could barely flex the muscles anymore. Finally, she collapsed on the cold tile of what had been her house. She thrashed and shrieked and clawed blindly, her own tears blinded her and her own traitorous sobs were threatening to break through.

But all of this destruction she had caused, a sure sign of her agony, was slowly putting itself together again. Dishes reformed, the torn painting and priceless sculptures (which had meant so much to her before) but had now been crushed without mercy mended together. As if they had never been broken at all. And all the noise and racket she had caused, hadn't caused the slightest stir in her busy little neighborhood. Why?

Because for the last two weeks, and five days, she had been dead.
She, Ellie Corinn, was a ghost.
And she would never matter again.

steady blade was held in her hand, shimmering in the dawn’s light. it felt natural in her hand because it was supposed to be that way. her family all before her had been these excellent swordsmen who served their kingdom well. she lifted up the blade and let it slice through dawn’s light. it reminded her of her life divided in two of what she wanted and what her family wanted. her future has always been divide between her family’s legacy and her aspiration. her path was split into two with shame in both ways: loyalty to her family but not herself or loyalty to herself but not her family. the blade started to feel heavy with the pressure of the choice weighing down upon her. the blade soon found itself back in its home of its sheath. she sighed as she placed it in her lap. it was like her by being dangerous yet a protector and feeling safe in the comfort of familarity.

she was once a queen who ruled over a poor country, that was highly in debt. she did nothing to help her country and instead sat back, eating luxury foods while her people were heavily taxed to pay off the debts. she forced anyone and everyone to bow down to her and this only caused an uprising. the people of her country rebelled, throwing their once queen off the thrown and into the town's dungeons. she was then killed for her sins and found herself in the depths of hell, now a demon of poisons, serving anyone who requires her poisons.

Mary was once a shy child, always nice, helpful...
She lived a normal life just like other children. Her grandma was her only alive family she knew. They moved from their previous home because of a coming war and her parents had to stay - there was no chance they were alive afer it.
Even if she loved her grandma deeply and helped her as much as she could, the woman never told Mary her secrets. But the girl trusted her. Everything was fine until one day...
Her grandmother was accused of being a witch. At first no one believed that, but when the rumor was spread... People started to fear the woman and, because of that, children feared Mary too. When asked if the rumors are true, she simply replied "I don't know". And, well, she wasn't lying. All of that led to the worst she could expect. She knew she would be accused next. She had to run away once more.
This changed her a lot. She became untrusting and arrogant, but still cared for her close ones - but she tried not to attach to anyone. She would do anything to stop someone from learning her past.
