I had been thinking about this for a while. I absolutely love Tei's design, but with so many viscets and with an ever changing AU, he fell behind and instead began to sit in my sta.sh. So, I have decided that the best thing to do is to host a re-adoption for this good boy.

"Focus, boy!" The older viscet snapped, snapping the young viscling's attention back to the target ahead.

"Aye, master!" The viscling replied, trying to focus his attention on his mark. He inhaled as he drew back his bow, his focus seeming unbreakable until he released the arrow.

The arrow launched for the target, swaying a little as it did, only barely managing to hit one of the outer rings. The viscling's attention was elsewhere though, not even focusing on the missed mark but rather focusing on his fascination with the butterflies that floated just above his head. The way their wings fluttered and danced before his young eyes had drawn his attention away so easily, much to the dismay of his teacher.

"Renjiro!" The viscet snapped again, turning the viscling's focus back to him. "You missed, _again_. Why can't you focus, boy? Can't you understand this is important."

Renjiro lowered his small ears, lowering his gaze in a bit of shame, "I'm sorry, master, I just..."

"You just got distracted, _again_!" The older viscet sighed heavily, sitting down as he ran his paws through his mane. "Knowing this skill could be the difference between life or death, do you understand?"

"...death?" Renjiro raised his gaze a moment before looking to the bow in his hand, "I... but Hanzo, er, Master, it doesn't have to be that way does it?"

Hanzo sat there quietly, he raised his gaze to look out some distance. Renjiro tried to follow it but it seemed as though wherever his teacher was staring off to was far too far for him to see. The viscet heaved another sigh before turning his deep and troubled gaze to the viscling.

"Sometimes... there is not a choice."

The solemn sound of his master's voice made Renjiro realize that there was much about his teacher he didn't know. The far off and clouded gaze that seemed to hold unspeakable pain. It was then that he realized that he needed to be the best pupil he could, not just for himself but for his teacher.

"Let's go again," Renjiro said, a determination in his gaze this time.

The shift in him didn't go unnoticed, Hanzo gave a nod as he stood to his paws and helped Renjiro straighten and line up his bow. Both were quiet as Renjiro took in a steady inhale, nothing could break his focus this time as he released the arrow as he exhaled. The arrow shot out fast from his bow, steady and true, it hit just off center.

"I hit it," Renjiro breathed, blinking in some surprised. He shifted in surprise as he felt his master's paw on his head, ruffling his head feathers. He looked up to meet his gaze, smiling slowly as he could see a small smile forming on Hanzo's muzzle.

"Good job, now again," Hanzo ordered.

From that day on, Renjiro determined he was always going to aspire to do his best, his only dream was to make his mentor proud.
