what's their favorite winter treat or drink & why?
Spearmint has always loved pepermint bark oreos. Plain peppermint bark is much been too sugary for his liking, but the oreos balance out the sweetness so that it isn't overwhelming.

One of his favorite parts is how easy they are to make. He keeps the oreos in his cupboard. Whenever he feels especially hungry, he dips the oreos in melted white chocolate and sprinkles on crushed candy canes. Voila! A simple yet delicious snack.

Another great part is how hard it is to go wrong. He admits that he is not exactly a master baker, and normally stays away from baking. Luckily, all you need to do to make this delicious recipe is melt chocolate and crush candy canes. And even if you somehow scewed that up, you still have an oreo. Yum!

The very best thing about them though, is the taste. You get the satisfying crunch as you bite into it. At first, all you taste is the classic oreo - chocolate and cream. Then the sweet white chocolate kicks in, melting in your mouth. The last flavor is the fresh peppermint, adding complexity to the overall experience.

Her favorite winter treat is chocolate covered cherries with a Hershey Kiss, also known as mice. She absolutely loves them and we make them once a week for her. Within the first week I brought her home, I made Christmas Crack and it was sitting on the counter. I went to get the sprinkles and when I came back, the entire batch was gone. I didn't even hear her walk through the kitchen or at least crunch on them. I couldn't help but laugh. I couldn't have gotten mad at her because she really didn't know any better. I did tell her no and she never did that again but never could find where she hid the Christmas Crack. So that is what I named her.
