Name; Myloa
Gender; Female
Prompt; She was walking through the woods, enjoying the sound of nature. When she glanced up, she saw a small fawn, chewing calmly on a bit of grass, watching her. She was just stepping forward, when it happened. She heard a sharp crack. A large branch broke from the tree above the fawn, and before Myloa could even cry out, it was done. The poor fawn lay half-crushed by a branch four times its size. She crept forward, sadness tearing through her at the awful sight in front of her.
"Oh, you poor thing," she whispered, reaching out a trembling paw, but withdrawing it hesitantly. The fawn's hooves scraped at the ground as it tried to escape from beneath the branch, but Myloa knew it was stuck. She knelt in front of it, wishing there were some way she could help it. After a moment, she decided to try to lift the branch. She got to her feet and grabbed the branch, heaving up as hard as she could. The branch moved slightly, but otherwise didn't budge. The fawn panicked, hooves scrabbling at the dirt in fear. A sob burst from Myloa's mouth, and she pulled with renewed strength. Finally the branch moved, raising about a half a foot above the small creature. It dragged itself out with a small cry, one of its legs broken and limp behind it. Myloa released the branch once she was certain the fawn was out. She went to the little deer and carefully picked it up, determined to help it. And with that, she began the long trek back to town, the little fawn trembling in her arms. (276/500)
