Personality:
River has always been very outspoken. She stands up for herself but only so that she can maintain a high rank in the pack and help others. The weakest and oldest members are always cared for first, and then the stronger ones may eat. In this way the group looks after those who are most important: not the powers-that-be today, but the future as well as those who made their current lives possible in the past.

River has had to make some great sacrifices, for her part. She never took a partner because she didn't want a distraction and was also worried that she may put her own offspring first, compromising fairness for parental doting. Will someone be able to change her mind, or is she destined to remain alone at the top? Either way, she isn't overly concerned. Her parents are here, as well as the rest of the pack, and so she'll always have someone to rely on - though more often, they are relying on her!

She's as fierce as lightning and her presence hovers around her like the dark storms coming from the west. As you peer down into the pasture you can see her standing there, ears pinned forward and a tense stance. She knows your there, and she is aware that you are weary of her. Her coat shines as rays of sunshine come through the small gap in the cloud, then darkens when the sun hides behind the big cloud high in the sky. It almost makes an illusion that her coat is shifting and swirling between her dapples. As beautiful as she is, trust is at it's lowest and she has her eyes locked on you like a hawk when it sees a mouse in the cornfield. Her expression is clear that she means business and will not hesitate to defend herself if need be. You smile at the marbled creature and pat the wooden fence, turning your back and going on with your day. You won't try to stir up what could turn out to be a uproar. Taima is quiet but she is not afraid to cause a ruckus if she feels threatened.

Personality: Blanca is a very quiet, peaceful kea most of the time. She is steady, reliable, and incredibly wise for her age, though her wild side is something to behold. Much like the flash floods or the great blizzards of the Rocky Mountains, and her namesake Blanca Peak, Blanca can be unstoppable and devastating to whomever or whatever set her over the edge. Though also like those notorious storms, they are long in coming, as she is rather difficult to anger. As mountains rarely ever stand alone, neither does Blanca. She has a number of creatures of wide variety that she calls friends and family, and she protects them like any mother would. She has a big heart and tends to adopt any creature she is aware of that is in need of help. Even if she, herself, can not help them, she finds a way to get them help by bringing them to the help, or bringing the help to them. She is very strong, and very sure-footed and loves hiking and climbing. In fact, one of the first treks she went on with her owner, was to the summit of her namesake's mountain. She fell in love with the area, and so she got her name from said peak. Next year she and her owner are planning on hiking the Appalachian trail together.
