welcome to ceolese adopts! these ceolese are apart of [and will always be apart of] the ceolese species made by oceanfosh.

so what is this thread then?


this thread is my [s o r r o w s's] private thread to help me keep track of all of my own work when it comes to this species. i don't like getting confused and having things all over the place, so i asked to make this and here we are!

what are ceolese?



Ceolese is a form of cat with droopy ears and a long tail with a slightly fluffier tip. The actual cat is rarely seen, but tends to stay in the area of its shrine. Each cat has its own shrine, a block of (usually) concrete with a nameplate on it, and a sculpture made of the same material as the base shrine. Without a shrine, the cat does not exist. If the shrine is broken, the cat will be in pain and die if the sculpture is not fixed within a month. Once the shrine has eroded away or is broken after that month, the cat will die. If the shrine is kept in perfect condition, the cat will continue to live. Despite being determined if they are alive or not by the condition of their shrine, these creatures still enjoy hunting, eating, and drinking, just like a normal cat. Usually shrines can be found in human civilizations.

yes they can!

Young Ceolese can either be called kits or kittens. When it comes to a young Ceolese, it can get quite confusing. After a kit is born, they do not have a shrine, and usually live under the protection of another Ceolese. A kit, unlike adults, is very vulnerable due to the fact they don't have a shrine. Larger carnivores may find a Ceolese kit and attempt to hunt and eat it. A kit will get a shrine once it grows into an adult.

what kind of experience do you have?


little to none, are you scared yet? i'm actually mainly a coder here on chickensmoothie! [don't let this topic fool you, i just wanted something clean and simple for this bad boy.] the last thing i thought i'd be on this website was an artist for adoptables, but look where we are. i do my best, and i'm quite crazy about keeping things orderly, so everything i do has been worked on to my best ability.

why did you join?


i saw the line art and fell in love! i couldn't help myself, especially since i had the option to be selfish or share my creations.

how do you give away your adopts?


customs and [private] breedings i do are paid for, don't worry, they're not super expensive! i promise! <3
adopts are going to be by raffle unless i think that this particular ceolese deserves to be auctioned/sold off instead.

what are your prices?


i'm pretty lenient on prices. it honestly depends on what kind of design/edits a person wants done. if it's something simple, a common. if you want me to go crazy with tons of line edits, then possibly a rare.

do you want extra payment if we want something fixed or changed?


i do not! within the first 30 days, i am willing to do edits/changes to your ceolese as long as it isn't anything major. want the horn to look a little different on your custom? no problem. want me to completely change the main fur color of your free adopt? no way kiddo, sorry. want me to lighten the eyes of your free adopt? sure, i don't see why not.

the first three rules are from the main thread, just reworded to make sense for customers.


i. don't steal lines, designs, or ceolese in general.
ii. always credit [ oceanfosh & s o r r o w s ] or link back whenever you use your ceolese on any website.
iii. do not ask for a custom to be made as a pre-existing character.
iv. do not beg for a free adopt/custom/breeding.
v. do not rush me, i am usually not online throughout the week unless i'm off that week from school.
vi. do not post a form requesting a custom/breeding done when i am closed. if slots are filled [and i am open], feel free to. i'll add you in once a slot is free if i accept your order.
vii. send payment for your custom/breeding once i accept your order. your order will not be worked on until you send over the payment. i will not accept the trade until your order is done.
viii. do not sell or trade your ceolese without telling oceanfosh. this way the new owner can be added on the list.

what are customs?


customs are ceolese you specifically order to be made a certain way. [on this thread at least,] you pay for them instead of them being free since an artist is doing what you ordered, not what comes from their head.

what are you allowed to do?


i. edit the line art of the ceolese.
ii. edit the line art of the shrine.
iii. basically anything allowed on chickensmoothie.

what can you not do?


i. anything against the ceolese and chickensmoothie rules.


artistic ability wise for the two questions above, no idea yet. let's find out and see.

how much do these customs cost?


they start at a common [any year] and depending on what you want done, we can discuss the price! i'm not very picky, just don't try to scam me please. the highest i'll probably go as of now [11/19/18] is probably a rare for major line edits to ceolese and/or shrine.

what is breeding?


breeding is when you ask me to create offspring based off two ceolese.

how do you do decide what traits pass on and which ones don't?


i roll for each customized body part to see if it passes on or not. it's a 50/50 chance. you can pay extra [which we will discuss through direct message if you decide to] for certain customs to pass on.

example // parent one has a custom tail, and parent two doesn't. parent one is heads and parent two is tails, and i flip a coin for kit number one. it lands on tails, this kit doesn't have the custom tail. i repeat the coin flip for all kits and all body parts.

do you do same-sex breeding?


yes, i do.

what are your prices?


prices, again, vary depending on the two ceolese. if one is a regular adopt [with no line edits] and one is a highly customized ceolese, then the price will be different than two highly customized ceolese. it starts at two commons [or one uncommon] for two regular [no line edits] ceolese to breed. we can direct message about it the price.
