I love this kid's design so much but I've done almost nothing with them D: I'd like for them to go to someone who can give them more attention!

noelani doesn't particularly celebrate any holidays, but she's respectful of all religions.
in december, she respects the religions by participating in their holidays.

for Hanukkah, lani lights one candle for each day out of the eight days. she also enjoys playing with dreidels although she usually plays by herself. over the week, she gets a little lonely and wishes there was someone to spend time with her.

for Christmas, lani sets out milk and cookies. in the morning, she'll eat them anyways beside the fire and enjoy the morning. she doesn't celebrate with anyone, so she doesn't open gifts and simply sits in peace. this is a time for noelani to rethink her life and be grateful for everything she has.

for Kwanzaa, noelani mainly sings and dances. sometimes she'll also bang on african drums, read stories or poems to herself, and make a large meal that's traditional to the holiday. she enjoys the feast, and she's grateful that she has the chance to make so much food. if there are any leftovers, lani will give them to people living on the streets.

for Boxing Day, she sifts through old boxes in her attic and give them to the people living on the streets. most boxes are filled with blankets or clothes that no longer fit, and noelani believes that they'll be of more use to other people.

for Ōmisoka, she makes a bowl of toshikoshi-soba or toshikoshi-udon. there are also large bells in her attic, and she brings them out to ring them. lani strikes them 108 times for all of the earthly desires that cause suffering, and in a way it's refreshing.

Jessie ran into the kitchen where the chicken was cooking. They pulled the chicken out and put it next to the pie crust that was finishing its cooling process. They began preparing the blueberry pie insides that were to be covered in little sun pictures. The oak log was waiting by the fireplace, urging them to burn it soon. Jessie had picked the perfect gifts for their family, like a doll for their niece and a set of beautiful earrings for their mom. Jessie began to fill the pie and baked it for about 2 hours on low. Once the pie was done, they took it out and began to cross the crust atop the pie. Then they took a frosting-like batter and drew little suns on the cross-hatched crust. Jessie placed the cake to cook for just 10 minutes, and once it was finally done, the doorbell rang. Their family has arrived to celebrate a holiday based on coming together. Jessie went over to the door and slid the lock. His family, the ones that still live in the city, walked inside. Everyone gave each other hugs and went over to the Yule Tree. Jessie slid the rest of the gift under, and the family walked over to the table to enjoy the food they had worked so hard to prepare. Jessie's mother brought a delicious cherry pie and some mashed potatoes. Everyone ate until they could barely move, and then they all sat by the fireplace to exchange gifts. When their niece opened her doll, her face grew to an amazing grin, and she offered to start the burning of the Yule Log. Jessie said yes, and helped her place the log into the fireplace and then light it. Then they all became silent and held hands. The solstice was about to begin. Once the sun began to rebirth, everyone got up and starting singing and dancing. Then Jessie said, "Who wants pie?" Everyone said, ME, and ran to the kitchen. Jessie grabbed the pies and brought them to the dining room. Then they cut the pie as people asked for a slice of either flavor. A long while later, everyone had to go home. They gave hugs and Jessie shared some of the leftovers with them to eat. (381 Words)

How they celebrate:

Baird love to celebrate christmas, ever since Baird was a youngling they've always had the same routine, watch two movies with friends, set up a small fort-like tent in the living room exactly 15 feet away from the tree, and fake sleep. They often left home baked cookies and a tall glass of milk. They never forget about the carrots for the reindeer though.. They would all fake sleep but once they closed their eyes the smallest fraction, they'd ended up falling asleep and waking up to few presents under the tree with the taken carrots and a half-bitten cookie..

"Samii! Samii!!" Baird called knocking on their friends door. "i'm out here!" finally they answered, letting Baird in as they hugged and brought gifts for under the tree. sniffing the air Baird turned to Samii and Alexa, "samii.. Alexa.. have you started the cookies?" Baird asked. "uhm..yes?" at this they all let out small fits of laughter. "okay well we will have to just wait to decorate!" Baird shouted out happily.

Eventually the dough rose and they waited for it to cool. They all began decorating it, one a shark-Samii's one a beach themed one-Alexa, and finally their own, the one Baird made every year for santa, an elf themed one. "Okay okay! lets go set everything up!" Samii said. They all scurried around, Samii grabbing blankets and pillows, Alexa grabbing the plate, milk and carrots, and finally Baird went and picked out the two movies.

"okay guys, this time, don't fall asleep" Baird teased as Alexa and Samii chuckled "got it!" and finally they closed their eyes. Falling asleep..

They all woke up to the bright sunlight from not closing the blinds, "hey! i thought we all agreed not to fall-" "shut up Samii! Santa came!" Alexa squealed before they all ran to unwrap everything-which wasn't much considering they grew up on the poorer side of town. Baird pulled out the art kit they've been asking for all year, "best..Christmas.. Ever."
