hallo, ich verstehe nicht, aber uhh, ich heiße Elias
"hi, i dont understand, but uh my name's elias"
Elias never much understood that of the world around him, he seemed to exist only in his own world. Prior to his existence as a doll, Elias lived in the
early wakes of the 20th century. He grew up in the Rhineland of Germany, close enough to eye the Rhine's current
"from here, to oma's only, no delays!!" At his current pace, Elias was going to be nearly an hour early. He couldn't grasp his mother's rationale, sending him out this early. He sighed, disgruntled by not only extraordinary punctuality but also his mother's insistence. He didn't realize he was being directly tested by her, she followed close behind, trying to understand her son's rampant tardiness. Sometimes the child would simply be absent from important events without a word. This sort of disappearance ate away at the mother, with only her son and her mother remaining, she was hawk-like in terms of protection. Unfortunately, worry could not change Elias, at this moment he went to find a place close to the bank to watch the sun on the river and nap for just a few moments. He tied a small string around his finger, reminding him to finish his trek to his grandmothers. Out from his breast pocket, he pulled the one memento from his father, a sleek silver pocket watch. HIs mother had one to match, simply in gold. But Elias preferred the silver, it reminded the mop-headed boy of the gray fleck that speckled his father's beard. He sighed and kissed the watch out of impulse, and his mother watching ached in her chest. he curled up in the sunshine and the warmth took just moments to soothe him to sleep.
His mother was rightfully distraught with her child for sleeping on the river's bank, but she also yearned to join him. She looked at her watch too and smiled fondly and her son's actions. She emerged from her hiding spot, sighing, and laying down with her child, the sun too washing over her.
the didn't emerge from their slumber, the wake of a steamboat pulled them into the river which unfortunately has a vicious current, however, fate was kind, and fate forgave the pair, intertwining their souls and providing a unique opportunity.

dont forget
Elias awoke not retaining a thing about his past, nor his current. He sat bolt upright, and something about the world looked, different, warped. He felt much smaller than what he once was. glancing at his palms he saw a string tied around his finger and a sense of panic overwhelmed him. The sickening feeling of forgotten something important crept into his throat. His brows furrowed and his watched ticked rapidly again

he sighed, even more confused, but eyed the house in front of him, the dollhouse

he felt overwhelmed, he closed the watch, and felt a twinge of animosity towards it, frowning at its incessant ticking, he knew to abide by her warnings nonetheless. He walked towards the house, pausing at the entrance to open the watch once more

youre safe
]he was starting to comprehend her role as guardian, however, he lacked comprehension for not only who she was but what she was speaking. He felt compelled as before to peck the watch, leaving a gentle kiss on the back of the watch. Immediately after, he saw what was to come, his introduction to the dollhouse and those first dolls to greet him. After his vision, he fainted, left to remain on the home's threshold until he came to, completing his vision. His mother watched him closely and spoke to him only the way mothers can
