Dry leaves spun around on the ground, carried by a small gust of wind. It was halloween night and all trick-or-treaters were out seeking treats. From this house to that house they all went. Except for one. A lone trick-or-treater was late to participate in the festivities. They had been prepping their costume all night, for they made it at the last minute and had been working hard on it for the past three days. Their costume was a dragon. Each scale was hand stiched onto a zip up jacket and some leggings, they glitered fantastically under the dim street lanterns.
Porch lights were turning off and there were very few treaters still out this late. The witching hour would be rolling arround soon, a potentially danerous time for young ones on all hallows eve. All manner of spirits were beginning to roam about. Just then, our young treater heard a crunch of leaves. They looked behind themselves. Nothing was there. They continued on, collecting as many treats as they could.
The last porch light went off. Dissappointed in their small amount of loot, they sat on the curb of the street and sighed. "I wish I could have gotten more candy...I was hoping my costume would have wowed people into giving me more..." the wind stirred and the street lamps flickered off. "Hello?" the young one called. No answer. But the street lights gradually turned back on, one by one, but instead of their normal colors they were varried between orange, purple, and green. A booming voice called out "Happy Halloween! Your wish is my command!" Down the street, somthing rather large stepped into the colored street lights. A tall yet short-legged and long-armed shadowy figure with the head of a jack o' lantern. It almost looked like a sort of scarecrow? Music started playing, from where, it was unknown. "Is this real?" the young treater whispered under their breath. "But of course!" The mysterious figure replied from still far enough away that they shouldn't have heard the question. The scarecrow thing started dancing wildly to the music. Candy floated out of thin air seemingly dancing with the being.
When the song concluded and the scarecrow bowed,
the young one clapped and candy poured magically into the large treat bag they had been carrying, filling it to the brim. The scarecrow poofed away, and the colored lights returned to their normal state. Confused and amused, the trick-or-treater made their way home, dragging with them a full bag of candy and the memory of an odd evening.

Tonight was going to be absolutely fantastic. There would be candy and decorations everywhere in spirit of Halloween, my favorite holiday. I normally didn't venture out of my safe little house unless necessary but going for Halloween was a major necessity. I painted my nails and combed my gut then put on my dark brown witch costume that complimented my fur amazingly well and stepped out the door, bucket in hand.
I was careful to dodge the small puddles of mud that littered to ground last i get my silky fur dirty and continue along the side walk giving a charming or flirtatious smile to those who passed. Finally I could see the houses from behind the trees and does up a bit, eager to fill my budget with sweets of every kind and that's just what I did. Within a few hours i had managed to to fill my candy blue bucket to the rim with candy and now I sat on a bench to enjoy a few pieces of my precious loot when a shadow looked over me. Frightened, I turned around to see the biggest bully on the street. They stole my candy and ran away laughing leaving me alone and sad. I put my paws over my eyes and wept. It wasn't the best thing I could do but I was distraught. Then, I felt a soft law lightly like me on my arm and when I looked up I saw another kalon smiling warmly at me with their paw outstretched in my direction offering me a piece of their own candy. I was ever so grateful and they spent the rest of the night helping me restock my stash of sweets. Even though everything became better that and I got a new friend. I never forgave that mean kid. I tried to summon a demon after them to make them pay for what they did to me, but it didn't work. I tried to curse them, but if didn't work and eventually I spent the whole year drowning them in endless pranks to where they would never take my candy again. No one, ever touches my candy and gets away with it.
